For my blog hop project, I altered this "M" for a very special scrappy friend. I used an array of festive holiday flowers, available for purchase on the I Am Roses website!

Altered Witches Hat - I Am Roses "A Haunting We Will Go" BLOG HOP!

Hi everyone and welcome to the I Am Roses “A Haunting We Will Go” Blog Hop. If you came my way via the I Am Roses blog, you are in the right place!

We're excited that you're joining us for today's blog hop and we can't wait to share with you our "spooktacular" projects using I Am Roses products! AND, you guessed it! For my project, I created this fun altered Witch's Hat. I challenged myself NOT to use any design paper and to make the project black and gothic. :-) Well, I caved a little because I used a mini note card with sentiment from Graphic 45's Happy Haunting paper collection... but, I "think" I achieved the black and gothic look with this hat. hehe!  First, here are some pictures...

For a fun little share, my 8-yr old son Dylan thought it would be hilarious to try on the altered witch's hat... and he gave me a little "wicked" smile while he was at it... check him out!! LOL!

I Am Roses September Challenge: Halloween Circle Card!

Here's a picture of the card laid open... I did not put anything "dimensional" on the bottom circle, otherwise the card wouldn't close. LOL! TIP: If you plan on mailing the card to someone, use one of those USPS boxes intended for DVD's/CD's or a small flat rate box. The card fits nicely and won't get smashed during shipping. :-)

Today I'd like to share a project I created for the August I Am Roses Color Challenge. This month's challenge is to create a "Back to School" project, incorporate yellow and use at least two I Am Roses products on your project. My youngest son Logan starts Kindergarten next week and I am seriously getting anxious! I can't believe how fast he's grown up and the fact that he's beginning school just reinforces the fact that he HAS grown up! I know, I know... I have to "let go"... but as a Mom, that just never happens. :-)

I created this altered book box to store small memories from Logan's first year of school. I used one of the storage book boxes that you can purchase at Michael's. I painted it and layered on Graphic 45's An ABC Primer papers and embellishments. I chose yellow rose buds and S10's to decorate the front of my box. Here are some pictures...

8x8 "Moments" Scrapbook Layout

Happy Sunday blogger friends! I'm here today with a project for I Am Roses!

My youngest son Logan is about to wrap up 4 years of pre-school. It's such a bitter sweet moment for us -- we are so proud of him! But OMG, my baby is all grown up! Logan starts kindergarten in 2 short weeks, and I just KNOW I'll be balling like crazy when I drop him off on his first day of school!

Logan started at our local daycare/pre-school when he was merely 8 months old... he was the VERY first infant enrolled in the brand new school. His first teacher Trish was almost like his own personal nanny! He was the only infant for the first 3 months until enrollment ramped up in our new neighborhood (this school is SO AMAZING, the wait-list to enroll today is insane!) Anyhow, Ms. Cindy was the "get set" teacher when we enrolled Logan, so any-time there was early drop off, she was there. She was also there for my son Dylan who attended the school for 1 year before starting kindergarten. Ms. Cindy means the WORLD to us... she is just an amazing person and such a WONDERFUL teacher in every way! We so appreciate her and will miss her dearly!

I created this 8x8 scrapbook layout to give to Cindy as a gift so she can remember Logan for years to come. I used Prima's Almanac paper collection and my all time favorite I Am Roses flowers... Be sure to check out my video link below so you can see how this layout came to life!

Here are some pics...

The R60's and R40's are two of my favorite large sized roses by I Am Roses. I prefer to purchase mine in white so I can use my Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays to color them to match my projects... but I Am Roses offers these flowers in a variety of colors for those who are looking for ready to use product.
