FAQ

I thought I'd put together a set of Frequently Asked Questions that I typically receive from both my YouTube videos and here on Blogger. Hope this is useful! ☺

Q: Where do you purchase your "sticky" tape and black dimensional dots?

A: I purchase all my red-line sticky products through Jody over at the Sticky Stuff Store. I've also grown attached to Scor Tape due to the larger/wider sizes available. Scor Tape is extra sticky and is perfect for using on scrapbook layouts with heavy embellishments. I purchase my Scor Tape on eBay from seller "injoyrubberstamps."

Q: Where did you purchase your fine tip hot glue gun and what brand is it?

A: My fine tip hot glue gun is by Surebonder. I purchased it at my local Joann Fabrics & Craft store. I love it because it comes with a stand and an ON/OFF switch, so I don't have to keep plugging/unplugging the cord. The fine tip applicator is perfect for detailed projects!

Q: What do you use to adhere your design paper onto chipboard for your mini albums?

A: It depends. But lately I tend to reach for my Mod Podge (available in the glue section at your local craft store.) Apply the Mod Podge directly to the chipboard, ensure it's layered on good (it needs to be wet to adhere well to the paper.) Use your brayer to push out any bubbles. One mistake many make is using a thin layer of Mod Podge, so thin that by the time the paper is laid down, it no longer sticks or will eventually curl up. Mod Podge turns into a removable adhesive when it's dry, so make sure you have a really good amount applied to your chipboard before applying your design paper. Any excess Mod Podge can be removed with a paper towel.

My other adhesives of choice include Golden Soft Gel Medium, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, Glossy Accents and my 3M ATG.

Q: What die cutting machine would you recommend?

A: For basic crafting (layouts, cards, mini albums) I recommend a Sizzix BigShot or Vagabond. Many dies are compatible with the BigShot/Vagabond such as Spellbinders dies, CuttleBug dies and embossing folders, Quick Kutz dies and embossing folders, etc. The Vagabond travels well for crops and doesn't take up a whole lot of space in your craft room.

Q: What die-cutting machines do you own?

A: I own a Sizzix BigShot, a Vagabond, a Grand Calibur and an Accucut Grande Mark.

Q: Where do you purchase your Copic markers?

A: I purchase my Copic markers at www.oozak.com.

Q: Are you Copic certified?

A: Yes, I am. However, I am not a certified Copic instructor.

Q: What is your all-time favorite, can't live without, use all the time product?

A: My iamroses.com flowers. Love, love! I use my I Am Roses flowers on nearly every project I create. ❤

Q: What companies do you design for?

A: I currently design for Graphic 45 and Lindy Stamp Gang. Click HERE for my Design Team resume.

Q: What software do you use to edit your YouTube videos?

A: I use iMovie, which comes with my MacBook Pro.

Q: What camera do you use to record your YouTube videos?

A: I use a Sony Cybershot digital camera to film my YouTube videos.
