TGF "Sasha" from the new Creeper Crew set

Hi everyone! Don't go far because we have our last day of MFT Teasers tonight and the Design Team will have some amazing projects to share with you all!

But before I share my next MFT project with you... I have more TGF Creeper Crew fun to share! :-)

Let me introduce "Sasha" from the new Creeper Crew stamp set by The Greeting Farm. Is she not adorable in a freakish way?! I love these Creeper Crew stamps! So I decided to break into my stash of things I LOVE to hoard... and of course I grabbed a $1 bin frame from Michaels (this one frame doesn't even "dent" my stash.... sigh... the hoarding I'm tellin' ya! LOL!) I also grabbed a cherry blossom spray from my Prima stash (again, no dent but hey.... I'm trying! LMAO!) I altered this black frame using Rub n' Buff in Antique Gold to give it a bit of a vintage look. I cut out some images from Graphic 45's Once Upon A Springtime papers to match Sasha's dress, which is paper pieced using the same collection. The "extra" cherry blossoms are from iamroses.com and I glimmered them up with my Creme Brulee Cream Starburst Sprays by Lindy Stamp Gang.

For Sasha, I colored her up with my Copic markers. My dark brown hair combo is E49, E47, E34 and E31. Her skin combo is E11, E21, E00 and E000 (+ R20 for blush.) LOVE her... so fun to color up! :-)

Click HERE to watch my video of this project.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you back here in a click of a mouse! :-)

hugsies!

HI everyone! Just a quick post today... be sure to check back later tonight though, because I will have another post up with some MFT teasers to share with you! :-)

I've been playing around with coloring black hair with my Copic markers. It's the BIGGEST challenge for me and I need TONS of practice!!! So last night I started coloring up this Cheeky Howdy girl from The Greeting Farm. I just LOVE it, she's so adorbs!! My black hair still needs work, but I'm lovin' how the LO came out hehe! She's now hanging on my wall in my scraproom.

Like I said, just a quickie share, LOL! But thanks for stopping by! See you all later tonight for more MFT teasers & FUN!

TGF Cards & Ramblings!

TGIF everyone... whoooot whoooot!!!

You don't know how excited I am about it being Friday... it's been one of those weeks where I was like counting the seconds until the weekend. LOL! The great news is we actually have ZERO plans this weekend, which means........ Yep, you got it.... CRAFTY time for me! Yay! :-) I hope to get a lot accomplished this weekend (FINGERS CROSSED!) I also want to organize my scraproom a bit to prepare space for my new EZ View craft desk, which I'm so uber excited about!! My little EZ View baby should be arriving next week. Once I get everything organized and settled, I'll share another scraproom tour with you all... well, maybe I'll share the desk.... hahaha... I think I'd need a whole month to get myself completely organized to the point where I could actually do a scraproom tour vid. LOL!!!

Anywho.... I wanted to share some of The Greeting Farm cards I created lately. If you follow me on Facebook, you've probably already seen these. But now that I'm on Facebook most of the time (if not YouTube) I tend to forget about my little bloggie. :-( So..... I will hopefully be able to figure out how to turn on the auto-feed so my Facebook updates when my Blog does... ooooooh, wouldn't that be cool? Ya, I'm so LOW tech, wish me luck figuring that out. LOL!

My first card was created using one of TGF's "newest-ish" stamps, Fancy Anya. Isn't she super duper cute?! I just love TGF stamps. The large adorable heads make coloring skin and hair so, so fun!!! And if you are new to Copic markers, the large space is good to practice on! But again, who wouldn't want these uber delish stamps? Every single one ooozes cuteness. LOL! Oh and DANGER... TGF just came out with some new stamps. OMG, talk about CUTE!!! 2 new Cheeky girls and another Miss Anya set! Check them out HERE. I just placed my order. LOL!

My second card was created using the Angel Anya from the Naughty or Nice 4x6 stamp set. Isn't she just wicked sweet? I love this stamp set you guys. It's perfect for Valentine's day too! Do you spy the rosette I created a few days ago and shared here on my blog? Yep, that gorgeous rosette was created using MFT's 3/8" rosette Die-namics.... one of my ALL time favorite dies ever!

So I'm off to the dentist to get my temporary crown fixed (it popped right out last night... eeeek!) TMI, I know... hahaha!!! Dontcha just love my ramblings? hehe!!!

Have an AMAZING weekend everyone!

hugs to ya!

"Totally Chic"

HI everyone, happy Thursday! One more day until the weekend... trust me, I'm counting the minutes! LOL!

Here is a quick display frame/card I made for a special scrappy friend. I used TGF's "Miss Anya Lounge." It's such an adorable set. Although I don't have any daughters, I couldn't resist the "stylish" theme you get from the stamp set. Adorable! (Didn't I say that already?!) LOL!

I colored her up with my Copic markers and cut out the Tim Holtz "Baroque" die (plus mini die) twice with medium weight chipboard. Then I cut out some DP (from G45's Fashionista collection) with the same dies and adhered those down to the chipboard. I used my redline dimensionals from Jody to pop up the frame. I trimmed out little Miss Anya and adhered her down with more dimensionals. I used a greeting from CC Designs that I purchased from All That Scraps awhile back (LOVE it, I think it's called "Boutique Sentiments.") The large cherry blossom is from Iamroses.com and the little rose buds are by Prima. I just LOVE the little hanger and dress charms. I found these on eBay some time ago. I thought they added a cute little touch. :-)

Thanks for stopping by to peep at my latest project. Enjoy the rest of your week everyone! :-)

Here are the Copic colors I used...
*I also used E-30 and E57, not pictured above.

TGF cards & some Ramblings

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share a few cards I made today for some of my scrappy friends! :-) I had a bunch of fun breakin' out with my TGF stamps, which I haven't done in a while. hehe! I'm just loving all the MFT goodness I've been working on. :-) In fact, I'll be back later on this evening for more MFT fun in celebration of tonight's MFT release party and blog hop. Whoot whoot! Can't wait! :-)

I created my first card using TGF's "Cherry Cheeky Pie." OMG this little gal is so adorable! I had a ton of fun coloring her in with my Copic markers & At You Spica Glitter pens. I'm so excited to take my first Copic class with Bona later this month. I've been dying to get into one to simply learn the basics! What you see now is what I've learned through trial n' error, YouTube and from my fellow MFT design team gals (Whoa they all ROCK their Copics!!) :-)

I used my circle Spellbinder die to cut her out and layered her onto MFT's Decorative Doily die, love that die!! The sentiment is from MFT's "Clearly Sentimental About Food" stamp set. LOVE it! And so appropriate with this image! hehe! :-) The roses are from iamroses.com, the black ruffle lace from my local LSS and the beaded trim is from A Treasure Nest. Oh, and the stitching... yes ladies... I did it my hand!!! Paper pierced using my Tim Holtz ruler and stitched with embroidery floss. Impressed yet? hehehe!!! OMG, I seriously impressed myself! LOL!

For my second card, I used another image set from TGF, but I totally forgot the name of it and it's no longer available on their website that I can see (sorry!) But OMG, is she not super cute?! I love her! hehe! Love the sentiment "Pamper Yourself" from the same stamp collection. :-) I colored her in with my Copic markers and cut her out using one of my Spellbinders dies (layered) and I distress around the edges using a technique I show on one of my videos HERE. I created another MFT rolled rose in grungeboard using Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays. I have a tutorial on how to create this flower HERE. The floral die cut along the left side of the card is cut out using MFT's Die-namics Flower Border die. I also incorporated a couple of small Prima rose buds & Prima leaves colored up with Lindy Stamp Gang Sprays. On the inside of the card, I just cut out the designer paper (Prima Fairy Flora) using MFT's Jumbo Scallop die and layered a piece of brown cardstock that I punched using one of my scallop SU! punches. I colored the candle with my Copic markers and adhered that to the inside along with a sentiment from the TGF stamp set.

So those are my cards for today! Pretty OK for someone who doesn't create cards that often eh? Hehe!! Soon, ladies soon... I have 2 mini albums and an altered project in the works and can't wait to share them with you!! But seriously, my ultimate goal is to figure out at least 1 of my 3 sewing machines! I "SEW" want to learn how to stitch on my cards, mini albums and other projects! hehe! :-)

Anywho, thanks for stopping by and check back later for more MFT release fun! :-)

hugs!

TGF "A Cheeky Xmas" Holiday Cards

Here are more cards I created for a few of my scrappy friends! I wish I could send everyone cards, but I just don't have enough little elves to help me out - I'm a one woman show hehehe! I hand colored each of these with my Copic markers (E50, E51, R20, C9, C7, C5, C2, R29, R27, R24, R22, C0) and used some new fine red glass glitter I found on Etsy (LOVE it!!) and some Martha Stewart fine glitter. She's cut out using a Nestabilities die, which is the same die I embossed and stenciled with. I LOVE my Nestabilities dies. I have a bunch of them I haven't used in ages, but I plan on busting out with them more often hehe! They are so fun to work with and so easy to use!

Be sure to check out my latest video HERE where I show you how I created the card and give a tutorial on how to use the Nestabilities dies.

Hope you are all having a great week! It warmed up today in Sacramento (the sun came out... yippeeeeee!) But the rain will come soon enough.. sigh... but you know how the rain keeps you indoors... what better way to pass the time away than scrap right? hehehe!!! And boy oh boy, do I have tons of things to scrap! LOL! I've been wanting to cut into my Graphic 45 Once Upon a Springtime papers soooooo badly (they have been staring at me on the shelf and taunting me since last week! LOL!) But I can't start a new project until I complete the ones I have on my table! Sigh! :-( Soon enough...

Anywhoooo.... have an awesome rest of the week everyone! Keep inspiring! :-)

TGF Halloween Card

I just started getting into the Halloween spirit, just a little behind everyone else! I've seen such amazing Halloween projects out here on blogger and YouTube, and I have yet to create something... but I'm getting there! hehe! I was lucky to get a 20% F&F coupon at Michael's from a YouTube friend, so I'll be stocking up on my Halloween scrapbooking stash soon... then I can get started on a few mini albums. :-)

I created this card for a friend... the Greeting Farm "Sweet & Toxic" image was my inspiration. I had just received the Sizzix spiderweb die in the mail this morning so I had to try it out and decided to incorporate it into the card. I used silver acrylic dabber paint on the spiderweb then edged it with pitch black dabber paint. I shredded some cheese cloth under the spider web to add some freaky dimension. I also took my hot glue gun and pulled on the hot glue to add more realistic spider webs. The rubbery spider is from Michael's (Oh, and let me say that I absolutely HATE spiders, they creep me OUT!! So working with this rubber spider was just so freaky for me!!!! LOL!!) The paper & sentiment are from last year's "Halloween" paper collection by Recollections. I edged the paper with my Tim Holtz paper distresser and inked it with Black Soot distress ink. I then sprayed the polka dot paper with "Black Magic" glimmer mist by Tattered Angels. The Halloween Ticket is from the Tim Holtz "Odds and Ends" clingmount stamp set. I colored in the sweet & toxic chick using my Copic markers and At You Spica glitter pens. Hope you likey! :-) Thanks for stopping by!

Arlene

"Creepy" Wednesday - CC collection by The Greeting Farm

I had such a blast playing around with red hair with my Copic markers and I really like the way YR18, YR7 and YR4 blend. The Greeting Farm took a funky, yet refreshing turn with their Creepy Crew stamp collection. I LOVE them and had to get every day of the week... lol! This image is "Wednesday." She reminds me of a wicked cool school teacher. LOL! The paper collections I used are the Tim Holtz "Lost & Found" and Graphic 45's "Hallowe'en in Wonderland." I love the combination with the CC stamps. And those "At you Spica" glitter pens are AWESOME!! I used them on her eyelids and pig tail ties. I entered my picture in the Farm Fresh Friday challenge on the Greeting Farm website. And wow, what amazing work those ladies do on that blog!

Thanks for stopping by!

hugs,
Arlene

"Friends" - Copic Hanger Project

Hello everyone! It's been a busy week, but I managed to get 1 project completed -- Yay! Bona and I are attending a crop in a couple weeks, and I always like to give her something hand-made since we hardly get to see each other these days. hehe! I decided to make a hanging tag with some of the new The Greeting Farm images that I am so in love with. These are from the "Miss Anya Collection" stamp set available at www.thegreetingfarm.com. So super cute, I love this stamp set!

I colored the images in with my Copic markers and used the "Life Stories" paper collection by My Minds Eye. The trim is by Webster's Pages and the flowers are some great finds from eBay (seller is "thai4u.") Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week! :-)

hugs,
Arlene

Projects before I was MIA...

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been MIA... as you may have heard from my YouTube videos, my whole family caught a virus/bug and we were down for the count for over a week. It was ugly. I'm just happy to say that we're all much better and the illness is past us. Whew!!!

So I wanted to share a few projects I had worked on that I haven't had a chance to post. Hope you are having a great weekend and are looking forward to the July 4th holiday like I am... can't wait!!! :-)

hugs!
Ar :-)

This is an altered "P" I made for my friend Paula over at "JournalArtista". I used Golden Glass Bead Gel, glimmer mist, Ranger color wash, Perfect Pearls and acrylic paint to distress the "P." I made the flower using Prima's eLine flowers and the metal embellishments are by Tim Holtz, sentiment by Invoke Arts, ribbon by Martha Stewart.

This is the Father's Day card I made for hubby. I also used Golden glass bead gel for the background mixed with Basics acrylic paint and sprayed with color wash & perfect pearls. The sentiment is from a Crafty Secrets stamp set and the graphic is from the Proper Gentleman paper collection by Graphic 45.

This is a card I created for Christina over at "Chris416ward" on YouTube. I love this TGF image and had a lot of fun coloring it with my Copic markers.
