With Sympathy

Hi everyone. Today I created a sympathy card for a very sweet, sweet friend who recently lost a family member. I wanted to send a card to let her know that her and her family are in my thoughts during this difficult time. I immediately grabbed the Clearly Sentimental about Sympathy stamp set, which is the new MFT Triple Scoop set.

The papers I used are from the Black & Ivory collection by K & Company. I thought the colors black and cream were perfect for the design I had in mind. I added a layer of vellum under the sentiment so it would stand out a bit more. The sentiment is stamped on a Textile Rectangle and layered onto the large label included in the new You Move Me Die-namics set. I added ivory pleated trim and this really pretty floral pearl trim from my friend Karla's Etsy. I added some I Am Roses flowers and accented them with the Leafy Flourish cut in Jellybean Green cardstock. I also added a butterfly from the Butterflies Die-Namics and added a 3-tear drop pearl center (cut from more trim from my friend Karla's Etsy.)

Inside the card, I layered 2 Dizzy Doilies in Ivory and Black (I used the smaller of two dies, included in the Dizzy Doily Duo Die-Namics set.) I then added more Leafy Flourishes to accent the sentiment, and lined the base of the layers with a Solid Bracket border.

I do hope this card brings a smile to her face and brings her comfort in this time of sadness.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I will be back tomorrow with a new project for Stampers Dream.

hugs,
