MFT: Wednesday Sketch Challenge #22

Hello everyone and welcome to this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club (WSC) sketch challenge! Here's what we're playing with today:

If you are new to MFT's WSC, here's how it works:

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight (Eastern Time) on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the MFT weekly newsletter. Our talented Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along!

Upload your card or paper project to SplitcoastStampers with keyword MFTWSC22.

Here's the card I created using the Pure Innocence ButterflyKisses stamp set, my all time favorite PI (wonder why?! Butterfly maybe? LOL!) The papers I chose are Butterfly Garden by Pink Paislee layered on kraft cardstock and MFT's Jellybean Green cardstock

MFT: A card for my Sister-in-Law

HI everyone! I'm here today with another card share. This time, it's a birthday card for my sister-in-law!

I created this card using 2 stamp collections from My Favorite Things: Girls Rule WTG and à la modes Birthday Girl. The paper collection is MME Stella & Rose Gertie. My inspiration for the design of this card, comes from MFT's Sketch #18, shown here:

I colored up "Who's that Girl" with my Copic markers and paper pieced her dress. The little heart is glittered up using the Glitter Ritz Microfine Glitter in PINK, new on the MFT Boutique. Here's a closer look...

Birthday Card: MFT's Pure Innocence "Birthday Princess"

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the long holiday weekend (here in the U.S.) and getting some fun scrappy time to yourself like me. Thank goodness hubbs set up the basketball hoop out front, because it kept the boys busy for a few hours so I can get creative in my scraproom!

I created this card for a friend's birthday. I just LOVE the little Pure Innocence girl! I used the Birthday Princess stamp set. My Favorite Thing's sketch #17 was my inspiration for the design of this card. Here is the sketch:

I used My Mind's Eye's Stella & Rose "Mabel" papers in combination with MFT's Hot Fudge and Fossil cardstock. I also incorporated a bunch of fun MFT Die-namics dies, which I will list out for you below.

I created a video while creating this card and hope this tutorial helps inspire you to create a card today! :-) Click HERE to watch.

Happy Birthday card

Hi everyone! I'm here today with a little project for Stampers Dream! ♡

I created this cute little A2 birthday card using the Family Garden Cling Mount Stamp Set by JustRite Stampers, complimented with Mariposa papers by DCWV that I grabbed from my paper stash -- love it, these papers are my all time fav! ♡

I created a lot of layers and used my Blossoms Three nesties to die-cut the flowers from the stamp set. The luscious brown sheer wrinkled edge ribbon is by May Arts and the pearl bling is by Prima. I layered the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Family Garden stamp set onto layers of beautiful die-cuts from the Parisian Accents Shapeabilities set. The little butterfly is cut out from the Mariposa papers.

Don't forget about the Stampers Dream and JustRite Stampers blog hop -- it's not too late to participate to enter your chance of winning 1 of 3 AMAZING prizes! Click HERE for my blog post for more information and to get hopping (see list of designers at the bottom of the post!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today! ♡

Stampers Dream & JustRite Stampers Blog Hop: "Thank You" Envelope Box & Tag

♥ ♥ ♥ Click HERE for La-La Land Crafts Summer 2011 Release Blog Hop. ♥ ♥ ♥

Hi everyone! Today the Stampers Dream Dream Team is hopping alongside the talented JustRite Stampers design team! So much inspiration in one event!  While you are visiting each blog during the hop, be sure to leave a little love because along the way there will be 3 (you got it THREE!!!) mystery blog candies hidden somewhere along the hop. For your chance to win one of the fabulous prizes, you must leave a comment on the mystery blog post! All 21 locations are eligible locations for the mystery blog candy! So go grab your cup of java and get comfy if you haven't already! Let's HOP!!! :-)

But first....

Today, I am featuring an envelope box & tag I created for a scrappy friend. To construct the box, I used the Sizzix Bigz XL die "Scallop Box Envelope" and die-cut the base with thin chipboard. I then layered on the Tim Coffey Cottage Garden papers and distressed the edges with Walnut Stain distress ink and Distress stains.

The "Thank You" sentiment is from the Heart to Heart Border and Centers stamp set. I cut it out using the Nested Frames custom dies. The large rose is the GORGEOUS Kaisercraft Paper Blooms in Buttercream (sprayed with Lindy Stamp Gang Desert Moon Cactus Gold for added shimmer.) Under that, I added a fun layer of my favorite May Art Brown Burlap String, then added some Iamroses cherry blossoms from my stash and some pretty Prima bling. The elastic closure is the Maya Road Yellow Ruffle Edge trim that I dyed with the Ranger Distress Stain in Walnut Stain.

The tag is made of thin chipboard and more of the Tim Coffey Cottage Garden papers. I stamped a sentiment from the Just Because Mini Sentiments set and die-cut it using the Nested Sentiment Custom dies. I added another one of my Iamroses cherry blossoms and more Prima bling.

Before I go, here's a sneak peek at the 3 AWESOME mystery blog post prizes!! You can be the winner of one of these FAB prizes, so be sure to leave comments along the hop!!

Escape to Paradise!

Hi everyone! I'm really excited to be hopping with the talents of the La-La Land Crafts Design team today. And today the design team is showcasing the new Summer 2011 Marci and Luka stamps. You'll want to leave a comment on every blog you visit along the way to be eligible to win one each of the 6 new stamps in the Summertime collection. That's three new Marci stamps and three new Luka stamps!! And let me tell you ladies, these stamps are A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!

I had a blast coloring up Summer Luka. He totally reminds me of my 3 1/2 year old son Logan. That connection made working with this image so much more fun! I colored up Summer Luka with my Copic markers and layered him onto Stampin Up cardstock and Cloud 9 design paper from my paper stash. The waves were cut out using my MFT "Catch a Wave" die-namics die and the hydrangeas are by Prima. The sentiment comes from an MFT stamp set called Clearly Sentimental about Summer Vacation.

I recently worked on a seashell mini album and had all my "Under the Sea" materials still out on the side of my desk.... so I decided to incorporate some of those goodies onto this card for a sort of "beach/sea" theme. I love how it came out!

Here are the Copic colors I used for my Summer Luka:

La-La Land Crafts Summer 2011 rubber cling mount stamps will be coming soon to Stampers Dream, so be sure to check back!
