Hi everyone and welcome to day 2 of 2 of MFT Teasers for the new à La Modes! Yesterday, the MFT design team showcased projects using the new, fabulous à La Mode stamp set, I Need Some Facetime. How cute is she holding an iPhone?! Love it! As a reminder, the à La Mode sets will be available for purchase on the MFT Boutique on May 17th along with this month's MFT VIP kit. So mark your calendars! Today, we are featuring I Treasure Our Friendship.
In the past, we've released our à la modes images in cling rubber. However, this month, we're releasing both of our à la modes in clear photopolymer, just like the rest of our stamps. This means that we can bring them to you a slightly lower price point than usual - $9.00 each! Since our clear stamps are made in the USA, they are of the highest quality, so you'll have the same great image quality that you're accustomed to with any of the MFT clear stamps! Sweet deal right?
For today's project, I created a card using the new I Treasure Our Friendship à La Mode stamp set.
The paper collection is the Stella & Rose Hattie papers by My Minds Eye and the base of the layers is MFT's Black Licorice cardstock. I decided to create a gatefold card to change things up a little. I forgot how fun these are to make! I used a number of MFT dies on this card and I will list them all below. I am in love with how my Rolled Rose came out! I cut it out using plain white cardstock from my stash. After I assembled the rose, I painted it with a mixture of Folk Art Metallic Champagne acrylic paint and water (a tip I learned from my friend Rina) and curled the petals with the end of a thin paint brush.
