Copic Coloring Tutorial: "Luka with Truck" by La La Land Crafts

Hi everyone! I am so, so so excited to share that I am now a Copic Certified Designer --- whooot whooot! What does that  mean exactly? Well, I'll tell you this... I know more about Copic markers than I ever thought I would!! Those who follow me on Facebook know that I took a Copic class this past Sunday. Jennie Black was AWESOME, great teacher and easy to follow. I got to meet the sweet Eva (fellow MFT DT-er) in person as well as the talented Jana (fellow MFT addict and designer for La La Land Crafts.)

I have to say, Jana set me over the edge with these super cute La La Land images -- Luka reminds me of my 3 year old son Logan. So adorable! That night after the Copic class, I went to La La Land Crafts online and ordered 2 digi images -- Luka with Truck and Fancy Marci. I had a blast coloring up Luka. I decided to do a tutorial sharing some of the techniques I learned in class.

Click HERE to watch the video tutorial.

Here are some pics of the card I made using Luka with Truck.

Isn't Logan (I mean Luka) adorable?!

I love the look of curling up a corner of the paper and having something "peek" out. Here I squeezed in some Prima flowers distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink by Ranger. I added a little car charm I found in my stash.

Here is the original Luka I colored up and adhered to the card. To the right is the Luka we colored up together on my video tutorial. The difference: On my original Luka, I used E11, E02, E00 and E000 for the skin (giving it a "pinker" look) and I didn't give him "whites" for his eyes. For the Luka we colored on the video tutorial, I used my normal skin combo of E11, E21, E00 and E000.

Thanks so much for stopping by to peep! Have an amazing rest of the week! :-)

hugs...

Hi Arlene, thanks so much for sharing your tutorial, wonderful. It's great for someone who is just starting out (me). The task seems monumental!

Fantastik card Arlene! I love this little guy. Congrats on getting certified. I took the same class with Jenny and I love her. She was funny and great to learn from. You've done a fantastik job coloring up Luka. I'm sure you'll have a blast with Marci as well. TFS your creation with us at La-La Land Crafts. :)
