Bluemoon Scrapbooking - Guest Designer for January 2011

Hi everyone!

I was so honored when Lisa and Scott over at Bluemoon Scrapbooking asked me to be a guest designer on their site for January. Of course, I was squealing with excitement! I have known Scott over at Bluemoon for over a year now, and him and Lisa are just amazing people! Not to mention what an AMAZING store they have! I was first introduced to their store when I placed an order on 7Gypsie's website (Bluemoon is one of the companies that fulfill their orders.) Not only does Scott call you personally to let you know your package is on the way, but he also fills you in on any new products they just got in, or will be getting in, so you are always up to date with what's HOT in scrapbooking! They also have an ongoing shipping special for US customers -- spend $50 for free shipping! And because they are based in Arizona and I'm in California.... there's no tax! I love it! :-) AND, Bluemoon ships internationally so those international ladies who are having a hard time getting their hands on the hottest in scrapbooking supplies, check out Bluemoon... you will not be disappointed I promise you! Their service can't be beat! :-)

So on to the projects... hehe! Lisa sent me some goodies to get a project together. I invisioned so many different things I could make with the supplies she sent me... so instead of 1 project, I created 3! :-) Can I just tell you how much I LOOOOOOOOOOVE the Basic Grey Curio collection? I'm so in love with that paper! So much so that I bought another set from Bluemoon! (Side NOTE: Check out the MME "Lost and Found" collection if you haven't already, I just got mine in from Bluemoon and am drooling over how pretty the papers are!! Gasp!!)

For project #1 I created this altered 7Gypsies Receipt Holder that Lisa sent me. I had such a GREAT time creating this you guys. One thing about me if you don't already know... I LOVE to alter things! Give me anything, challenge me.... I will alter it! hehe! I used the BG Curio collection --- the papers and the "pieces" pack. All distressed with Walnut Stain Distress ink. All the hardware is from Bluemoon as well. The only item not from Bluemoon is my handmade jute rosettes under the bird. :-)

*List of products used and available at Bluemoon Scrapbooking is available at the bottom of this post.

For project #2, I created a Tag Mini Album using the rest of the Basic Grey Curio papers Lisa sent me. SUPER fun project you guys, you have to try out a tag mini! My mini is going to be used to capture "My Creative Journey" -- projects and experiences from being on different DT's. This is a time in my scrapbooking "adventure" I certainly want to document and remember. :-)

I used a tag die I purchased through Accucut (and my AccuCut GrandeMark) to cut out the tags and DP (I used medium weight chipboard for the tag/page.) Pretty much all the embellies and accents aside from some of the pockets and the flowers, are available at Bluemoon Scrapbooking. Be sure to check the product list at the bottom of this post to see what I used on this tag mini album!

For project #3, I decided to do a 12x12 layout using the Glitz Design "Scarlett" collection that Lisa sent me. This is my first time working with Glitz Design products and OMG you guys, this stuff is lush!!! I love it! Lisa sent me the papers, the stickers, the antique book pages, and the ephemra... I'm in love, seriously! LOL! Be sure to check the bottom of my post for a list of the products I used. And the feather.... OMG, can we please talk about the feather?? It's amazingly AMAZING! It's so huge... and you guys.... this is the most perfect feather I have ever seen! I'm definitely buying more of these! :-)

So I decided to make a lay-out of myself, which I rarely do. Unfortunately, I have no girls in my house to do girlie layouts for but myself. :-) My hubbs took this pic of me on my birthday this past October. I thought I'd scrap it and this is what I came up with. I love the bold colors of the Scarlett collection --- bold, yet vintage. :-) And the Maya Road rosette trim is so luxurious you guys... I could literally roll around in that trim all day and be in heaven! LOL!!
