8x8 "Precious Moment" Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone! Hope you had yourself an awesome little weekend. Mine went by UBER fast! I can't believe the work week is only hours ahead and I am still LOW on sleep! aaaah! LOL! ❤ But that is no excuse NOT to create right? That's where the coffee and chocolate come in (caffeine!!!!)

Today I'd like to share an 8x8 layout I created of hubby and I. We spent Easter Sunday (which was also our 12 year wedding anniversary) at San Francisco. This photo was taken at the end of Pier 39 where the kids were watching the tour boats take off and arrive.

The paper collection I used on this scrapbook layout is Prima's new Almanac paper collection. Oh my goodness you guys, this paper is so AMAZING! I love all the coordinating embellies. ❤

I accented this layout with several little goodies from KARLAS001.... so let's get started off with some pictures...

The wooden butterfly is so fun... I love how it's just sitting on my sentiment on this layout...

I had fun hand-stitching this layout. It adds just the perfect little something. And of course, gotta have the doily... I just LOVE doilies! I don't think I'll ever get tired of them. ❤

The crystal Butterflykisses flowers are so pretty. They capture the natural light and bring sparkle to any project... and the white porcelain flowers are perfect when layered, so dainty!

I love the wood tickets by Prima, they coordinate perfectly with the paper collection...

Now let’s get on with the show...

For my first project, I created a fun card using the new Ukulele Luka. Is he not the cutest little man with his ukulele and kukui nut necklace?! True island style -- LOVE it!

I colored him up with my Copic markers and layered him on a card made with the Tahiti Beach Stack papers by DCWV. "Mahalo" which means "Thank you" in Hawaiian, is a sentiment included with the Ukulele Luka stamp set. The tribal mask is the perfect touch and it comes with the set too!

What's new you say? The flower punch I used to punch out the flowers from the paper collection... and Ukulele Luka of course! ❤

Next up is this SUPER fun 12x12 scrapbook layout I created of my son Jarrod using the brand new Karate Luka

What PERFECT timing with the release of this new stamp! Jarrod just competed in his 3rd Tae Kwon Do tournament this past weekend and scored 2 trophies -- YAY!! I absolutely HAD to scrap some of the photos from his "forms" performance. He was soooooo spot on with his forms. I'm such a proud mamma! ❤

I colored up Karate Luka using my Copic Markers. The little patch on his lapel is handmade by me using a Copic Multi-liner pen and R14 (do you see the patch on Jarrod's lapel? I even matched his belt on Luka! LOL!) "Hi-ya!" is a sentiment that comes with the stamp set. What's new? I used my new Fishtail Stax Die-namics to create the fun layers of banners at the base of my layout.
I'll include a full product list at the end of this post...

I see myself getting a LOT of use with this Luka... I have 3 sons in Tae Kwon Do! ❤
Here's a close-up of this cutie...

Inspiration Friday with La La Land Crafts -- Frame it!

Hey everyone and happy FRIDAY! Whoot whoot! The weekend is near and it's time to play! Can't wait!

Today I'd like to share a card I created for La La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday challenge. This week's challenge is to "frame it"! And I did just that on this card using cute little Marci with Tulip!

I colored up Marci onto PaperTrey Ink white card stock (my all-time favorite card stock to Copic color on.) I used one of the frames from Graphic 45's Once Upon a Springtime paper collection and did some fussy cutting using the Primrose Cottage paper -- I love the little blossoms on this paper!

Here are some photos of my card...

A little close up of Marci... I just LOVE her curly 'do! ❤

I punched out the green polka dot fern leaves using a Martha Stewart punch and the Tiny Treasures paper from Once Upon a Springtime. The lace is from Webster's Pages and the pearl trim from KARLAS001.etsy.com.

I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch to create the multi-layered green butterfly...

The cherry blossom was handmade using I Am Roses hydrangea petals and Lindy's Stamp Gang Cape Cod Coral Starburst Spray. I popped a pearl in the center and added some I Am Roses rose leaves around the cherry blossom...

Copic Markers:

Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20, BV00

Hair: E74, E77, E79
Tulip: R11, R12, YG61, YG63
Soil: E57, E59
Pot: E08, E09

A Special Wedding card...

Hi everyone! I'm here today to share a wedding card I created for a very special person!

My 4-year-old son Logan is absolutely enamored by his pre-school teacher, Ms. Janice. She can do NO WRONG, he just loves her to pieces! ❤ I always catch him giving her huge bear hugs (he grabs her by the leg and squeezes his entire body around her leg... LOL!) He tries his best to make her happy by earning a sticker at the end of the day for good behavior (of course that doesn't always happen... but hey, he tries! LOL!)

Anyhow, Ms. Janice is getting married this weekend, so I wanted to make a very special card for her that Logan can sign and give to her in class. Yup, my little 4-year-old can write his own name and identify/write every letter in the alphabet! How's that for being ready for Kindergarten this August?! LOL! I chose PI Wedding Flower Girl by My Favorite Things for my image. She is just so stinkin' adorable! And.... she can double up as a bride when you embellish her up a bit. That's what I did with her on this card. You'll also notice that her hair grew... hehe! I used my Copic Multi-liner SP pen to draw extensions on her hair.... voila! She has a flip-bob! LOL!

I colored PI up with my Copic markers and paper pieced her dress using a wedding paper collection by K&Company. I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the sash around her waist. Her floral crown was based with a layer of dazzling diamond glitter, then I added some Recollections pearl bling. Her bouquet was "filled" with stamen and mini rose buds by I Am Roses. The large banners are from my new Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax -- LOVE these! The dies not only cut, but they emboss too!

The sentiment (from MFT's Essential Sentiments set) is anchored by I Am Roses R8's and more mini rose buds and stamen.

That's a Leafy Flourish by MFT to the right of PI... I can't stop grinning when I see her little bouquet of flowers! heeeeeee! ❤

I did some zig-zag stitching with my Janome "sew Mini" sewing machine... I just LOVE stitching on my cards now that I FINALLY know how to do it and found a machine that actually works! LOL!

I love my new Photo Light box from eBay, too... The black velvet background and bright lights make projects "pop" to life!

I fussy cut the butterflies from the paper collection, popped the wings up for dimension and added some Recollections pearl bling...

Here's a peek at the inside of the card... The dies and sentiments again from MFT (but of course, LOL!)

Thanks for joining me today and letting me share this special card with you. I hope you are enjoying your week... we are half way there until the weekend ----> YES!!!! Can't wait! ❤

Have a super uber craftilious day! ❤

hugs!

6x6 "Memories" Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. It's almost time to get back into the weekly grind... but before we do, I have a project to share with you!

I created this fun, cute little scrapbook layout of a picture Bona took of me at Winter CHA 2012. There was this uber cute birdcage right outside the DCWV booth and I thought it was just ADORABLE! ❤ They had this weeping willow and peacock in their booth too... so FULL of color... well, DCWV won "best booth" for Winter CHA 2012 and it's no wonder! ❤

So back to my fun little lay-out... I used the new Pink Paislee Nantucket papers and ephemera. Oh my goodness, these papers emit cuteness! They are perfect for summer time! This layout was so easy to pull together too! With a little bit of patience and 1/2 hour... voilá --- here's my layout! :-)

I used a variety of I Am Roses flowers in different colors. I'll have them listed at the end of this post...

The lace is from Hobby Lobby, the flower trim from KARLAS001...

The "Memories" ticket is from a new Recollections pack that I picked up at Michael's this weekend. Oh my, their new collection of Recollections embellishments are to DIE for and they are 50% this week ladies!!! Run, run! LOL! ❤

Thanks so much for visiting me on my blog today. Be sure to check out I Am Roses, I'm certain you will find some flower yumminess that you won't be able to turn down. ❤

Oh, and it you are up for a challenge, come see us over at the I Am Roses challenge blog where we are in full-force challenge extravaganza! Come check it out!

Have a happy, scrappy week ahead!

hugs! ❤

Inspiration Friday with La La Land Crafts -- Unusual Hair Color!

Hi everyone and welcome to another fun challenge week over at the La La Land Crafts Blog! We hope you join us for some "Unusual Hair Color" creations!

For my project today, I used Mod Marci and Heart Chair. I love paper piecing and I did both on Marci and Heart Chair using Glitz Design Afternoon Muse papers.

Don't you just LOVE Marci's red n' pink 'do? LOL! I had fun paper piecing her hat and layering on 2 different pieces of design paper...

I love working with paper doilies and layering them on my cards and layouts. They add that perfect touch of "something" to every project. With this doily, I sprayed it up with the new Clam Bake Beige Starburst Spray by Lindy's Stamp Gang to give it a more "distressed" and "aged" look. The crystal bling is by Recollections, flowers by I Am Roses, and sentiment sticker by Me and My Big Ideas...

I also paper pieced Heart Chair... I just love how Marci is "chillin'" in it. LOL!

I always finish the inside of my cards.... here's a peek from the side...

Copic Markers:
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E11, R20, BV00
Hair: R24, R27, R29, R39
Blouse: W3, W5, W7
Guitar: E51, E53, E55, E27
