"Creepy" Wednesday - CC collection by The Greeting Farm

I had such a blast playing around with red hair with my Copic markers and I really like the way YR18, YR7 and YR4 blend. The Greeting Farm took a funky, yet refreshing turn with their Creepy Crew stamp collection. I LOVE them and had to get every day of the week... lol! This image is "Wednesday." She reminds me of a wicked cool school teacher. LOL! The paper collections I used are the Tim Holtz "Lost & Found" and Graphic 45's "Hallowe'en in Wonderland." I love the combination with the CC stamps. And those "At you Spica" glitter pens are AWESOME!! I used them on her eyelids and pig tail ties. I entered my picture in the Farm Fresh Friday challenge on the Greeting Farm website. And wow, what amazing work those ladies do on that blog!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Greeting Farm - "CC Tuesday" -- Wicked cute!!

I am so in love with The Greeting Farm's Creepy Crew collection. The images are so wickedly cute! Here is "CC Tuesday"... I used my Copic markers to color her and used my multi-liner pen, white signo pen, At You Spica glitter pen and Stickles to accent her. The frame is by Sizzix & the paper collection by DCWV "Le Creme." The outter part of the frame is black cardstock. I stamped a damask background (stamp by Hero Arts) on it with Perfect Medium and brushed Perfect Pearls over it. Super fun!

Thanks for dropping by! :-)

hugs,
Arlene

Here are the other CC girls that I have... so cute, love these!!!

A Scrapbooker's Tale Crop & Projects

Bona and I attended A Scrapbooker's Tale "Enchanted Crop" on Saturday hosted by Brandy, and I had such a GREAT time. We were laughing for days on end, I was in tears!!! LOL! You can watch the video HERE. I also included a few pics we took down below. Great times. :-)

I completed 2 projects... the first project is an 8x8 canvas I made of me and my Mom. My Mom is my best friend... I'm the only daughter and have 2 brothers... so my Mom and I were always close.

I used the Prima Pistache/Flights of Fancy paper collections... the base is painted with Golden artist grade paints, applied randomly with an old gift card. The trims are by Webster's Pages. I used Tim Holz book corners and flowers from www.iamroses.com. I had the best time creating this canvas. Can't wait to give it to my Mom. :-)

The 2nd project was a challenge I brought to crop. I purchased 2 paper packs of the My Minds Eye Meadow Lark papers - one for Bona, one for me. Luckily the Canon rep was at the crop again, so she let us print up unlimited photos... so we had her print up some pictures we took that night at the crop. The challenge was to use the paper collection I got for us, 5 pictures that we took at the crop... and use whatever embellishments or supplies we brought to crop with us. I included pictures below of the 12x12 layout I made for Bona and the one she made.... at the end, we swapped Layouts so I kept the one she made and she kept the one I made. Super fun! :-)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! :-)

hugs,
Arlene

I got to grab a prize from out of the goody bag at crop! Yay! Thanks Brandy!!

This is the layout I created and gave to Bona...

Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante Altered Box & Mini

HI everyone! When I received my Steampunk Debutante paper in the mail last week, I couldn't help but get started on a new project using it. The paper collection is AMAZING!!!! Not only does it have butterflies... but it has this feminine touch with all the corsets and ladies... yet it's masculine with all the gadgets and gears... I love it!!!

I took one of the wood boxes I got from my friend Tina on YouTube (check her out HERE) and I altered it. I had such a blast creating this box & mini... and I created a vid to share it with you! Pictures and vid below... thanks so much for stopping by! :-)

hugs,
Arlene

"Friends" - Copic Hanger Project

Hello everyone! It's been a busy week, but I managed to get 1 project completed -- Yay! Bona and I are attending a crop in a couple weeks, and I always like to give her something hand-made since we hardly get to see each other these days. hehe! I decided to make a hanging tag with some of the new The Greeting Farm images that I am so in love with. These are from the "Miss Anya Collection" stamp set available at www.thegreetingfarm.com. So super cute, I love this stamp set!

I colored the images in with my Copic markers and used the "Life Stories" paper collection by My Minds Eye. The trim is by Webster's Pages and the flowers are some great finds from eBay (seller is "thai4u.") Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by today. Have a great week! :-)

hugs,
Arlene

More Copic Projects...

Here are a "retail therapy" card and "thank you" tag I made for a few of my scrappy friends. I love coloring with my Copics, it truly is theraputic. When I'm stressed, I stamp up an image and start coloring... it only takes seconds to catch my breath. hehe! I looooooove my copic markers! :-)

Thanks for stopping by... this is my 3rd post for today so be sure to scroll down for more! :-)

Custom Flowers for a friend...

This is my 2nd post for today, so be sure to scroll down for more... :-)

I created these custom flowers for a friend. I miss making my ribbon flowers and changed them up a little bit. The flowers are adhered with removable dotto to a Boroque chip board die cut embossed in one of Tim Holtz's texture fades, then distressed with Walnut Stain distress ink. These flowers are so fun and easy to make. Be sure to check out my YouTube video on how to make these... Thanks for stopping by! :-)

My RR Journal

Paula over at "JournalArtista" on YouTube is hosting a Round Robin Art Journal swap and I was excited to get in on it. Here is my art journal, which is already en route to Michelle in Canada. I kept if VERY simple and unembellished because it still needs to make it's way to 7 artists all over the world. Once I get it back, I will fully embellish the cover and work on my pages. I'm so super excited... this is such a great way to get a sampling of art work from various artists in our scrapbooking and art journaling community... I can't wait to see the final journal! :-)

The cover of my art journal was altered using artist grade acrylic paint by Golden as well as Golden glass bead gel (LOVE this stuff!) I didn't embellish my art journal cover because it still needs to travel to 7 other artists around the world and I was afraid it would get damaged during it's long journey. I will embellish it once I receive the completed journal back...

I included a sign-in sheet where the ladies can leave their mark and a message...

I created the first art journal page, but kept is super simple... only a few layers. When I get my art journal back, I will continue to add to this page and create additional pages. I used student grade acrylic paint and a plastic wrap technique to achieve the texture. I then used Scarlet glimmer mist and stamped several different images to tie everything together. I punched out a Martha Stewart butterfly and embossed it using Moon Shadow embossing powder. The theme of my art journal is vintage/grunge butterfly.

This is the back cover of my art journal I gesso'd the page and applied light fiber paste, which I colored using 1 full dropper full of Distress Reinker in Vintage Photo. I then used my Starburst stains to fill in the gaps... I love the texture...
