2 new scrapbook layouts and Easter Treat Boxes

Hey everyone! Hope you all had an amazingly crafty weekend! I sure did. I attended a crop with Bona and had a blast! And the best part of all, I got some creating done -- yay! And of course, I had my huge bag of I Am Roses flowers in tow, so you know I was showing my layouts some love by using them. hehe!

First up is this layout I created of myself, Bona and Rina taken at CHA. We had such an amazing time at CHA, and I completely ADORE this pic of the three of us... I just had to make a layout!

The size of the layout is 8x8. I used Prima's Romantique papers and a ton of I Am Roses... here are some pics:

Supplies:

Prima Romantique papers, tiles and Shabby Chic Treasures
Maya Road flower trim
Recollections pearl bling
Spellbinders Nestabilities die
Lindy Stamp Gang - Glitz Spritz (Cactus Gold) & Starburst Spray (Opal Sea Oats)
Paper doily
Canvas
Martha Stewart leaf punch
Lace from my stash

Next up is this 6x6 layout I created of me with my family during my parents' 42nd wedding anniversary lunch in January. We don't take photos as a family often (we are together often and take lots of pictures, but to get the 5 of us in a pic is VERY rare!) So, I decided to scrap this photo in a cute little 6x6 layout. Here are some pics...

Supplies:

Simple Stories "Generations" papers
MFT Decorative Doily Die-Namics
Prima Say It In Pearls
Metal Butterfly
Martha Stewart leaf punch
Lace from Hobby Lobby

Next up (and last but not least!) are these Easter Treat boxes that I created for Bona and Brandy. I never come empty handed to a crop and you can never go wrong with chocolate, right?! LOL! Here are some pics...

Supplies:

Color Bok "Vintage Parlour" paper collection
AccuCut Box #13 die & Borders die (belly band)
Flower trim from KARLAS001.etsy.com
MFT Notched Tag Die-Namics / Sentiment from a Pure Innocence set
Easter Chocolate
Inside of box lined with Frog Feathers rosette trim

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my projects!

Don't forget, the I Am Roses design team is hosting a Green, Gold and Glitter challenge over at the I Am Roses Challenge Blog. You won't want to miss out on your chance to win some I Am Roses products!

Here's to wishing you an awesome and amazingly crafty week! CHEERS!

MFT: Christmas M&M Treats & Tutorial

Hi everyone! How's the last minute Christmas shopping going? If you were smart, you finished your shopping LONG ago... but if you're like me (eg. lagging LOL) you're probably a tad bit stressed and lacking sleep. LOL! But I love the holiday hustle and bustle... I just need more sleep. hehehe!!! There's something about the crowds and the insanity in the mall parking lot that draws out the Christmas spirit in me... hehehe!

Anywhooo..... today, I have a special project to share with you all. I made these M&M treats for my son Logan's classmates. I think they are just so adorable! My inspiration came from Jen. I met her at my son Dylan's cultural feast at school. She made these cute little M&M candies with a santa hat topper. I found out that she's a scrapper (which are hard to come by in my area!) so it was really nice chatting it up with her albeit only for a short while (if you're reading this Jen, here's a shout out to you --- thank you for the fun inspiration!) :-)

To change up the project a bit, I used some super fun My Favorite Things products. The Die-namics Textile Rectangle stamp and die set is so awesome -- I'm officially in love with the die. LOL! Then again, I'm in love with EVERY MFT die currently on the market, who wouldn't be?! I couldn't believe my eyes when I was able to cut out 2 good quality pieces of designer paper at the SAME time with the die! It sure was a time saver (I'm hoping I didn't break any "do not do that" rules for the die... yikes... but these dies are so SUPER durable, and like I said... I can't get enough of these!! hehe!)

The two stamp sets that I used are the "You Spin Me Around Additions" set and the "Santa Baby" set. Both super fun and versatile stamp sets.

Be sure to check out my video tutorial HERE.

Thanks for stopping and by and enjoy the rest of your week!

Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess Altered Tag Box

Hi everyone... so I started to get the itch to create again... LOL! I picked up one of the blank boxes that Tina over at "DreamBigLover" on YouTube gave me and I altered it! I chose the Graphic 45 Domestic Goddess paper collection (LOOOOOOVE it!) and used a bunch of Prima and Tim Holtz - what better combo than G45, Prima and Tim, my all time favs!! I created 4 custom tags that are inserted in the box... these tags can be used for greetings or any occasion... or she can keep them for herself. hehe!! :-) I had so much fun creating this and I'll be shipping it away to Tina as a little "thank you" for being the sweetest ever and for picking me up a TON of these boxes in different shapes and sizes at her local Michael's (my local Mike's doesn't carry these boxes and looks like they never will... sigh!!) I absolutely love these boxes and can't wait to make more for myself and for gifts... hehe!!! :-) Enjoy the pics!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

hugs,
Arlene :-)

New Tag and RAK for Amy

Happy Friday everyone! Are you as excited as I am that the weekend has come?! Gosh, what a week. One word -- insane!! hehe!!

Here is a new tag that I made for Amy at "worker4ever123" on YouTube. You can check out Amy's channel here. She is the sweetest lady ever. She went to her local Michaels and bought me the large Martha Stewart deep edge Doily Lace Punch after watching one of my vids. I had bought the punch, then later discovered after opening the package that the handle was broken. I checked and called every Michael's within an hour of where I live for a replacement. Nothing. I was nearly in tears (well, I think I actually was... LOL!) Don't you get like that when you really, REALLY want something? I know for sure I do. :-) Anyhow, Amy sent me a message on YouTube and she said "I picked up the punch for you, shipping to you UPS this week!" I was nearly floored... okay, I "was" floored! Even more excited than the Mariposa papers (OMG, is that possible? YES it is!) I offered to send her money through Paypal, even for the cost of shipping... but she wouldn't have it. Anyhow, Amy is just the sweetest ever to go out of her way to do something like this for someone she hardly knows (we only "know" each other through YouTube.) And to top it off, she sends the punch with a TON (and I mean a TON) of scrapbooking goodies. Everything was just AMAZING!!! You can check out my video of Amy's RAK here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qaK4k7zm0As

Anyhow, I put together a package for Amy as my way of saying "thank you." :-) I made a Valentine's Day tin mini album for her, a Valentine's treat box and a tag. I hope she enjoys it all and I wanted to share those creations with you here. Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy!

hugs,
Arlene
