My 4-year-old son Logan is absolutely enamored by his pre-school teacher, Ms. Janice. She can do NO WRONG, he just loves her to pieces! ❤ I always catch him giving her huge bear hugs (he grabs her by the leg and squeezes his entire body around her leg... LOL!) He tries his best to make her happy by earning a sticker at the end of the day for good behavior (of course that doesn't always happen... but hey, he tries! LOL!)
Anyhow, Ms. Janice is getting married this weekend, so I wanted to make a very special card for her that Logan can sign and give to her in class. Yup, my little 4-year-old can write his own name and identify/write every letter in the alphabet! How's that for being ready for Kindergarten this August?! LOL! I chose PI Wedding Flower Girl by My Favorite Things for my image. She is just so stinkin' adorable! And.... she can double up as a bride when you embellish her up a bit. That's what I did with her on this card. You'll also notice that her hair grew... hehe! I used my Copic Multi-liner SP pen to draw extensions on her hair.... voila! She has a flip-bob! LOL!
I colored PI up with my Copic markers and paper pieced her dress using a wedding paper collection by K&Company. I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the sash around her waist. Her floral crown was based with a layer of dazzling diamond glitter, then I added some Recollections pearl bling. Her bouquet was "filled" with stamen and mini rose buds by I Am Roses. The large banners are from my new Die-Namics Fishtail Flag Stax -- LOVE these! The dies not only cut, but they emboss too!
The sentiment (from MFT's Essential Sentiments set) is anchored by I Am Roses R8's and more mini rose buds and stamen.
That's a Leafy Flourish by MFT to the right of PI... I can't stop grinning when I see her little bouquet of flowers! heeeeeee! ❤
I did some zig-zag stitching with my Janome "sew Mini" sewing machine... I just LOVE stitching on my cards now that I FINALLY know how to do it and found a machine that actually works! LOL!
I love my new Photo Light box from eBay, too... The black velvet background and bright lights make projects "pop" to life!
I fussy cut the butterflies from the paper collection, popped the wings up for dimension and added some Recollections pearl bling...
Here's a peek at the inside of the card... The dies and sentiments again from MFT (but of course, LOL!)
Thanks for joining me today and letting me share this special card with you. I hope you are enjoying your week... we are half way there until the weekend ----> YES!!!! Can't wait! ❤
Have a super uber craftilious day! ❤
hugs!
