Today the designers are showcasing project using the Bon Appétit stamp set and Contempo Cage Die-namics and stamp set.
I created my project using the new Contempo Cage Die-Namics and stamp set. Here's a peek:
Isn't the bird cage just adorable?! And the little bird with wing?! There are so many coordinating and "accenting" stamps in the set, the possibilities truly are endless!
The paper collection I used on my card is by Webster's Pages. I distressed the edges for a shabby chic feel to the card. Here are some pics:
I cut the birdcage out in kraft cardstock, centered a Mini Rolled Rose on top of the cage and accented it with a few little white flowers from my stash. I "crinkled" my own seam binding (I use rubbing alcohol) and made a bow to adorn the top of my cage. Lined on the bottom of the cage is the Flower Border Die-Namics, accented with some Recollections pearls from my stash. I stamped the little bird from the stamp set underneath so he appears to be "in" the cage. I just LOVE the little bar he can stand on... too cute! You'll also see that I stamped some of the musical notes from the stamp set... my little bird loves to sing! :-)
Under the cage is the super fun Woodgrain fence (which by the way, is PERFECT for those Halloween projects you might be working on!)
I cut out the little bird in kraft card stock and I used one of the coordinating stamps to create the "lines" on his little wing. I used a little itty-bitty Recollections pearl for the bird's eye. The sentiment is stamped onto kraft cardstock cut out with my Mini Pennants Die-namics. I think layered them on top of the "ends" of the smaller banner from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics set.
Here's a side view of my card...
Inside the card, I layered more design paper ad Hot Fudge cardstock. I stamped the little bird in brown ink, then stamped his wing in green ink. I also included the rest of the woodgrain fence that I cut off from the front of the card (can't let those scraps go to waste, right?!) then I stamped another sentiment from the set onto the banners from the First Place Award Ribbon Die-Namics.
