Today the design team is featuring the new stamp sets joining the Pure Innocence family: Caramel Apple, Karate Girl, Karate Boy, Sunflower girl and Poppy.
All 3 of my sons are in Tae Kwon Do, so I just "had" to create a project using the new Karate Boy stamp set! My 7-year old son Dylan joined Tae Kwon Do (Korean form of Karate) in November 2010 and he has been non-stop ever since! He is now on his 5th belt and is aiming for Black Belt by the time he turns 9. Yaaaahoooo!!!
I created this 12x12 layout using a fun puzzle piece as the background along with the Tattered Time papers by DCWV.
Here's a closer look...
I colored up PI Karate Boy with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out. Isn't he just the cutest ever, and my son to add?! :-) I just LOVE the sayings included on the stamp set. It really brings the image to life with some verbal action! LOL! The large speech bubble from the Say What Die-namics is perfect to stamp the sentiments on, as well as the Sunshine Die-namics (reminds me of the old Batman TV series -- Ka-pow!!! LOL!)
I used the new By The Numbers Die-namics to document the year this pic was taken. LOVE the large, bold numbers in this die set! "Tae Kwon Do" is stamped out using the clear alphas from the Banner Strip Die-Namics and stamp set. And do you spy the Fancy Flourish again? Well, you're going to see it AGAIN and AGAIN because I just LOVE it! hehe! ♥
