Secret Garden Shabby Chic Vintage Anniversary Card

Can you believe that Spring is just over the horizon? We were chatting about daylight savings today at work and I was literally like "Really?? Already?!" In the United States, we'll be "springing" forward 1 hour in a few weeks. This is the sign that Spring is very near! Well... the clouds and the rain we had today in Northern California begged to differ! LOL! But I certainly don't mind a few more months of snow!

Today, I want to share a special anniversary card that I created for my parents' 43rd wedding anniversary. I used Graphic 45's Secret Garden paper collection. Such a gorgeous collection!

Secret Garden has the perfect colors and images for your Spring inspired crafts, with just the perfect touch of vintage Graphic 45!

The key to a "full" card is a lot of fun layers. Use card stock, pearl flourishes, flowers and more to add plenty of gorgeous layers. I actually surprised myself when I didn't use paper doilies on this project! LOL! Paper doilies tend to be a natural element in all my projects. ♥ But as you can see, even without doilies, you can create gorgeous layers just using elements from the paper collection...

I snuck a little Staples Ornate Metal key into the layers of flowers. I'm so hoarding these little keys, I love them! I'm on my last few and I can't get enough of them! hehe! ♥

I accented the corner of my card using a Momenta corner piece, and accented it with a Staples Stamped Metal brad...

The Secret Garden papers are so pretty... I love the bird, blossoms and birdcage from the May Flowers sheet.

This is the inside of my card... finished off with love! ♥

Now you can see why I'm so in love with the new Secret Garden papers. They are definitely fun, whimsical and beautiful to play with! And my parents absolutely adored the card. Yay!

I hope you enjoyed this project and give one of these cards a try! ♥

As always, don't forget to stop by the Graphic 45 BLOG where there will be a full reveal of this project!

Have a crafticilous day!

xoxo ❤,

Vintage Valentine's Day Tag

Just poppin' in to share a quick project with you all! I'm a bit late sharing this one, but it's been one of those months. I hope you were able to get to all your Valentine's day crafts this year! ❤

I created this Vintage Valentine's Day tag for my hubby using Graphic 45's Place in Time February Cut-Aparts. I also posted a video tutorial up on my YouTube channel. I thought I'd share some pictures here on my blog. If you're interested in the tutorial, I also plugged it in towards the end of this post. Here we go...

This is the front of my Vintage Valentine's Day tag... Lots of distress & metal!

I softened up the look with a "bouquet" of I Am Roses miniature roses and some
May Art chiffon ribbon...

I finished off both sides of the tag. Here's the back...

Here's my video tutorial showing you step-by-step how I created this tag. Enjoy!

Here's a sketch if you are interested in putting one of these together yourself!

Have a craftilicious weekend! ❤

Masculine Birthday card using Graphic 45 Kraft Reflections

Hi everyone and happy Monday!

I have a special card to share with you today. I created this for my husband's birthday. I love Graphic 45's Kraft Reflections paper collection. It's the perfect set to pull-off some masculine projects and I love the look of black and Kraft. The paper collection also includes cut-outs that you can use to accent your projects. I cut out a number of elements from the paper collection and layered them on this card. Behind the elements is a black doily I purchased on Etsy, giving the card the perfect touch of black, but keeping it very masculine. Here are some photos...

I incorporated some May Arts ribbon and Want 2 Scrap bling...

You will also notice some of the Graphic 45 Staples: Metal Tag and Metal Hinges.

I always finish off the inside of my cards. This one was no exception! I cut out the playing cards from the Quote... Unquote paper and popped them up on dimensionals. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment was taken from an MFT stamp set.

"You're the King" is taken from another MFT stamp set. I popped the sentiment up on dimenationals and adhered it to the small metal tag. Then I chose to hang it like a charm on the ribbon using a garment pin. Perfect little accent!

Here's a look at the card at a different angle...

Thanks for stopping by and have an AMAZING week!

Graphic 45 "Place in Time" Altered Cigar Box

Hi blogging friends and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and had time to decompress and relax... something I always look forward to when the weekend arrives! ♥

Today, I want to share a very special project that I created for a very special friend. I first discovered Miranda on YouTube. And if you have not seen her creations, well let me tell you... you are MISSING out! She is one amazing crafter. Her personality and creativity literally "POPS" with every project she creates. You can check out her YouTube videos HERE.

But before you leave, let me show you the box I created for Miranda as part of a swap we did. I had so much fun working on this altered box. It's amazing what one can do with a little pine box, a little patience and creativity and some Graphic 45! On this box, I primarily used Graphic 45's Place in Time collection. However, the box itself is covered with Snowflake Waltz from the Nutcracker Sweet. I LOVE how Graphic 45's paper collections compliment each other so nicely!

Here is a sneak peek of the altered box below. But for a full load of photos, a video and a product list, be sure to stop over at the Graphic 45 blog where this project will be featured today!

Thanks for popping by and have an AMAZING week ahead!
