MFT May Creative Challenge

For this month's MFT design team creative challenge.... MONOCHROMATIC! Does that scare you? Don't let it! It's not as hard as it seems. :-)

For my PI Being Cute Is What I do image, I used my Copic colors in the Warm family -- W00, W1, W3 & W6. You don't need a whole lot of colors to achieve this look!

I have a video on how I achieved this Monochromatic color scheme. You can check it out HERE.

Be sure to check Kim's blog to see what the other DT members came up with for today's FUN challenge!

Mother's Day cards

Hello everyone! The signs of summer are upon us... it hit the 90's here in Northern California and allergies were at an all time high... sniff-sniff go my kids... time to stock up on the tissue! :-)

I'm here today with two Mother's Day cards I created for my Mom and Mother-in-law. I received my latest order from Stampers Dream today and I could not wait to play!

First up, my shabby chic card using Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden. I admit to hoarding this paper LOL! But I was so relieved to finally cut into it because it is just GORGEOUS! The stamp set is Motherly Love by Flourishes (currently sold out.) I used the Blossoms Three Nesties to layer my sentiment over some of the luscious Maya Road trims from Stampers Dream. I accented the card with a Prima flower and a dimensional butterfly clear pop sticker from Pink Paislee. The bling, by Zva Creative, is new on the Stampers Dream website.

Here's my 2nd Mother's Day card, using Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer papers. I colored up Sugar and Spice Marci by La La Land Crafts (LOVE her!) and popped her up on dimensionals. I cut out the hearts using the Spellbinders Charm dies (currently sold out) and stamped on one of the sentiments from the same Flourishes Motherly Love stamp set I used on my first card. I wrapped some of my favorite Maya Road Brown Burlap String around the card and attached the heart label with the sentiment to it. I added some mini pink I am Roses to the top left side of the card and added more of the Zva Creative bling -- love it!

Check out my project video HERE.

That's my share for today! Thanks for stopping by...

Happy Mother's Day to all the scrappy Mommies out there -- enjoy your day and let yourselves be spoiled! ♡

Here is a FUN mini album I created using the same Inspired By "Up, Up and Away" stamp set and Postcards from Paris paper collection by Webster's pages. I was able incorporate a ton of Die-namics die cuts in this mini, which shows how versatile Die-namics can be... card-making, mini albums, our design team has even shared home decor ideas using Die-namics a few months ago... so, super FUN!

The cover...

I just LOVE these handmade daisies created using the new Rolled Daisy Die-namics...

MFT Teaser Day 4

Welcome to day 4 of 5 of MFT teasers! How is that shopping list looking? Well, get ready 'cuz in a few short days the May release will be available on the MFT Boutique!

Today, the design team is featuring 3 new stamp sets: Inspired By - Up, Up and Away, Claire Keay: You Had Me at Woof, and Just my Type.

I used the fun, classic and vintage Just My Type stamp set for my project today. This new stamp set comes in a combination pack with the coordinating Typewriter Die-Namics.

I kept my card really simple, with the focus on the vintage typewriter. I just LOVE classic and vintage! I used the new DCWV Tattered Time papers which were a PERFECT companion for this stamp set.

Here are some pics:

MFT Teaser Day 3

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 3 of 5 of MFT Teasers! Today the design team is sharing projects using  new stamp sets from the adorable Pure Innocence line: Lily of the Valley, Roll with It, Skater Boy, Pucker Up and Fresh from the Oven.

First, here are the "deets" on this month's upcoming release:
  • The MFT release is on May 3rd at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on May 3 at 10 PM EST.

  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog. Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 $10 vouchers being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.
Today I'll be featuring PI Skater Boy. How cute is he?! I had a blast making this card, because like I mentioned yesterday, I don't have many masculine cards and I have a hubbs and 3 boys! This stamp set was PERFECT for my nephew's birthday coming up in May. The paper collection I used is by My Mind's Eye. I had accidentally scored my card incorrectly (happens when I try to multi-task... I was chatting on the phone with my BFF while I was card prepping... LOL!) But I was able to make due with my mistake. I cut out a few Simply Scallop dies cuts in Hot Fudge cardstock and MME DP and added it to the "shorter" side of my card. :-) Voila! Problem solved. LOL!
