Now onto my card...

I used the really pretty Prima Madeline papers for this card. I paper pieced my image with the design paper and colored her up with my Copic markers. I cut her out and layered her on top of some Jellybean Green cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto a journaling tag that came with the design paper, then layered that on top of an Open Scallop Doily. I adorned with Recollections pearls - love these they are my fav! I used a white rosette from my stash and centered on a Rolled Rose cut in green MFT felt. I adhered a little pearl in the center to top it off.

Inside the card, I laid down some design paper on top of Jellybean Green cardstock and trimmed with the Dainty Lace Border Die-namics. I stamped the sentiment onto a banner and accented with more Recollections Pearls.

Now before you start shopping, you might want to continue the hop on over to INGE. She will surely inspire you with an amazing creation, I guarantee it!

MFT Teasers Day 2 - à La Mode

Hi everyone and welcome to day 2 of 2 of MFT Teasers for the new à La Modes!  The à La Mode sets will be available for purchase on the MFT Boutique tonight, along with this month's MFT VIP kit. So be ready to run on over! Today we are featuring Grad Girl à La Mode.

Just in case you didn't catch the scoop on MFT's line of à La Mode stamps:

  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety, after purchase.

Grad Girl à La Mode is the perfect stamp set for those graduating friends and family members. I created a card using October Afternoon's School House papers. I colored up my image with my Copic markers and cut it out using my Long Rectangle Nesties. I then tucked a piece of the Textile Rectangle Die-namics stamped with a sentiment along the side. I used my Notebook Edge Die-namics to create a notepaper effect on the layer under my image. Then I tucked along side a Simply Scallops die cut in Black Licorice cardstock. I crinkled some turquoise seam binding and centered on a Rolled Rose cut out with MFT felt.

I kept the inside pretty simple by laying down some Black Licorice cardstock with design paper and centering the sentiment onto a Sweet Stack of layers, adorned with some Recollections pearls.

I'll be back later on tonight for MFT's VIP Blog Hop & Shop. Don't forget, beginning at 7pm PT on Tuesday, April 19th, both featured à La Modes Dream Big and Grad Girl as well as MFT's VIP kit will be available for purchase on the MFT Boutique

Be sure to check Kim's blog for more stunning projects from the design team using the new Grad Girl à La Mode!

hugs!

MFT Teaser Day 1 - à La Mode

Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of 2 MFT Teasers for the new à La Modes! In the next 2 days, the MFT design team will be featuring this month's 2 new à La Mode stamp sets: Dream Big and Grad Girl. These sets will be available for purchase on the MFT Boutique on April 19th along with this month's MFT VIP kit. So mark your calendars! Today, we are featuring Dream Big à La Mode.

First, let me give you the skinny on MFT's line of à La Mode stamps:

  • Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.
  • Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!
  • Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety, after purchase.
Now onto my card...

I started off with a card base using MFT's Sweet Tooth cardstock. Then I layered on designer paper by My Minds Eye, topped with a piece of vellum dry embossed with stars. I colored up the à La Mode gal with my Copic markers and cut her out with my circle Nesties. I then layered her on top of a Dizzy Doily. The turquoise lace rosette is from my stash, but I adhered a Rolled Rose cut MFT's felt in the center of the rosette. I really like how that came out! The sentiment is cut out using the Flat Bottom Clouds Die-namics.

Inside the card, I layered more of the design paper. Then I took the Dizzy Border and weaved some turquoise seam binding through it. The sentiment is cut out using the Framed Greetings Die-namics.

Check out the creations by the other MFT designers back on Kim's blog HERE.

I'll be here tomorrow with another day of MFT Teasers. Thanks for stopping by today

Accordion Photo Stand

Hi everyone -- TGIF!! Wow, what a week it's been and finally the weekend is here. One word ------ aaaaaaaaaaaah! ** Big sigh of relief. ** LOL!

I'm here today with a fun, FUN project for Stampers Dream. A week or so ago I picked up the new Donna Salazar Creative Book Pages Grand Dies over at Stampers Dream. And oh my!! I've been dying to create something with these dies. My Dad's birthday is coming up on Sunday and we're getting together to take him out to a nice dinner. Instead of a birthday card, I thought I'd create him an accordion photo stand of his 3 grandsons! The creative book pages dies were PERFECT! I used the larger (ticket shaped) die to cut out thin chipboard & design paper. Then I used the smaller page die to create a matting for the boys' pictures, which I fussy cut. The papers are from the Prima Reflections paper collection available at Stampers Dream. The embellishments are random metal & wood findings from my stash by Tim Holtz, Making Memories and Maya Road (notice how I used the Maya Road Bingo chips to call out each son's age?) I used the banner die cut from the Regal Crest Alterations Die to adhere alpha stickers to spell out each of my sons' names. I then used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes on the pages and affix large eyelets. The pages are joined together using Tim Holtz Ideology bead & chain.

Hope my Dad enjoys this for years to come!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a GREAT weekend!

hugs ♡

MFT's Creative Challenge "For the Kids"

This month's MFT design team challenge was to create a children's gift item. I had this idea to create an altered chalkboard for my kids' room to keep track of soccer games, location and time. So not only can Mommy be organized... so can the kiddos! ☺ I instantly fell in love with the Pure Innocence: I Get a Kick Out of You stamp set from last month's MFT release. The set is perfect for my little soccer players.... even though they are boys, LOL!!! (the stamp set includes a little PI girl, pic below.) I featured her on my MFT Teaser Day 3 earlier this month HERE.

I have a list of MFT products used on this project included below. Click HERE to watch a vid detailing some of the items used.

Be sure to click on over to Kim's Blog to see what creative goodness the other MFT ladies have to share with you today. By the way, click HERE to check out the MFT DT -- I {♥ HEART ♥} these ladies!!!

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek! Have a great rest of the week... I know for me, it's going to be a doozer of a week! ☹

hugsies!!
