MFT Teaser Day 4

Hey everyone! Here we are at day 4 of 5 of MFT teasers. How is that shopping list looking? Be ready... the release is coming up in 2 short days and I have this gutt feeling that the new products will be flying off the shelves QUICK, so put your running shoes on ladies! ☺

Today the MFT Design Team is featuring 2 new fun stamp sets: Inspired by Spring and Clare Keay - Hello Sunshine. ADORABLE!! I will be sharing a project with you using the Inspired by Spring collection.

But first, the skinny on the MFT release:
  • The MFT release is on April 5th at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on April 5th at 10 PM EST.

I used the new Inspired by Spring stamp set for my card and I just LOVE it. I know I say this all the time, but the Inspired By collection by MFT just ROCKS and ROLLS!! I love the vintage yet shabby chic feel to the stamp images and the sentiments are always PERFECT for my projects. The paper collection I'm using is new by Prima called Sparkling Spring, the perfect back-drop for the IB: Spring stamps. I stamped the cherry blossom branch and colored it up with my Copic markers, cut it out with my round Nestabilities and layered it on top of the new Open Scallop Doily. I stamped the bird, colored him up with my Copic markers and popped him up with dimensionals. I created the bow using white seam binding from my stash, colored it up with the Copic marker I used for the Cherry Blossoms to coordinate, then hand crinkled it. I popped on a custom stick pin for added interest, as well as some of the fun Twine from the MFT Boutique. The flower is made of canvas, which I cut out using the new Pretty Posies Die-namics. I sprayed the canvas with Wheatfields Glimmer Mist and heat set it to make the petals curl naturally. I layered the posies, added a few of the centers and popped on a silver brad.... and voila! Instant vintage shabby flower. ☺

Inside the card, I stamped the Cherry Blossom branch in Rich Cocoa Momento Ink. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of DP that I cut out using the Sweet Stack Die-namics, then layered that on top of the new Four Point Frame.

Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my latest project with you. Be sure to visit Kim's Blog to see the other amazing projects the MFT design team has prepared to share with you today!

    hugsies!

Today the MFT Design team is featuring the new stamp sets from the Pure Innocence collection: Graduation Girl, Graduation Boy, Crazy for Daisies, I Get a Kick Out of You and You Color My World. I will be sharing projects using Crazy for Daisies and I get a Kick Out of You.

For my first project, I created a card using the new PI: Crazy for Daisies. Is she not the cutest little gal ever?! I know I say that ALL the time about the PI images... but really... she is the cutest little thing to color up with Copic markers and paper piece -- LOVE her! ☺

... a little peek inside the card
     *Product list included below

For my second project, I decided to make a Soccer lay-out of my son Dylan using the new PI: I Get a Kick Out of You stamp set. The PI image started off as a girl, then I changed her up to make her a little boy! And "he" looks just like my son Dylan LOL!! ☺ So stinkin' adorable! I used the new Fish Tail Banner Die-namics to create a vertical banner with my son's name, but I also used it to create a "tab" for the journaling tag I inserted into a pocket right on the lay-out. So FUN!! Hope you like it!

Here's what the little PI girl looks like:

Here's a close-up of how I turned this little PI girl into a boy!

Thanks for dropping by again today and be sure to check back tomorrow 'cuz I will be here once again for another day of MFT teasers! :-)

    hugsies!

    MFT Teaser Day 2

Hey there everyone!! Welcome to day 2 (of 5) of MFT teasers! Today the MFT design team is showcasing 3 stamp sets - Flopsey Fishing, Jolinne: Once Upon a Time and last month's Triple Scoop set Clearly Sentimental About Music. Today I'll be sharing Flopsey with you!

I created this card using the new Flopsey Fishing stamp set. Oh how I { ♥ HEART ♥ } Flopsey! Not only is he so super cute... but he is such a BLAST to color up with Copic markers! I paper pieced his hat and the fishy and popped them both up on glue dots for dimension. Do you spy the new Tear Drop Tree Die-namics die? LOVE it! I distressed the edges and gave it a little shabby look. :-) The grass is cut out with the Fresh Cut Grass Die-namics and MFT felt. I also added some of the Flat-Bottom clouds cut out in MFT felt. My sentiment "Hare Today..." is stamped on a cut out from the Rounded Banner Trio Die-namics. The paper collection I'm using is an old one by K&Company called Road Trip.

Inside my card, I stamped Flopsey with some Versafine ink in Oynx Black and layered him on some Hot Fudge cardstock. Dontcha love how he's peeking off the side of the card... hehe!! The sentiment is stamped on DP cut out using the Sweet Stack labels Die-namics, and then layered on the Framed Greetings Die-namics.

Here's the scoop again on this month's release:

Altered Shadow Box and Easel Card

    ✿ ✿ CLICK HERE FOR MFT TEASER DAY 1. ✿ ✿

Hi and TGIF everyone! I have a few Stampers Dream projects I wanted to share with you today.

First up is this altered Maya Road ATC Shadow box. I decided to do something different -- notice how this is "not" using Graphic 45 papers?! LOL! You all know I love to alter boxes using G45... BUT, this time, I decided to create something for my 2 eldest sons who play soccer. I wanted something I could put up in my office/scraproom and being that my kids LOVE soccer, I thought a soccer theme would be nice. I used the School Spirit collection by Crate Paper... Oh what FUN papers for children! And I really love the vintage-shabbiness of the designs on each page.

Click HERE to watch my video for an up close look at this altered shadow box. I also include an up-close look at the easel card I share below.

Here are links to the Stampers Dreams products I used featured in this Altered Shadow Box.

Ranger Distress Stain - Walnut Stain
May Art Burlap string in Brown (currently sold out)

Next up is this easel card I made with a cute little stamp by Sarah Kay for Stampavie called Juliet in the Field of Nasturtiums. I love Sarah Kay's designs, they are just so adorable and sweet and FUN to color up with Copic markers.

Here are links to the Stampers Dreams products I used featured in this easel card:

Juliet in the Field of Nasturtiums
    Bo Bunny Vicki B papers
    Regal Crest Alterations die (vines)
    Prima Overture Petunia Collection
JustRite Stampers: Be Happy Borders & Centers
Maya Road Small White Roses Organza Ribbon
Ranger Distress Ink - Vintage Photo

Well, hope you enjoyed the projects I had to share with you all today! Be sure to stop by Stampers Dream and check out all the new products Michelle has been putting up on the store --- can you say new Spellbinders and Tim Holtz cling mount stamps & Alterations dies?! Eeeeeeek, I get goosebumps when Michelle adds new Tim Holtz items to her store... like the new Alterations Sewing Room die! If you haven't bought yours yet, run on over and get yours today before they sell out --- this die (like all Tim Holtz dies, in my opinion) is to "die" for!! :-)

    Enjoy your day! :-)

    hugsies!
