MFT: Wednesday Stamp Club #7

Hey everyone! It's time to get sketchy with MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club! What a super fun sketch we have this week. Won't you join us?? :-)

Here are the "deets" on the WSC Getting Sketchy challenge:

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along!

Upload your card or paper project to SplitcoastStampers with keyword MFTWSC7.

I created this card for my hubby for Valentine's day -- I just LOVE this week's sketch and this is my take on it. :-)

The DP is Be Mine by DCWV, a collection I had purchased last Valentine's and never got around to using. All the DP cut out's are layered on top of MFT's Hot Fudge cardstock. The large heart was cut out using MFT's Hearts a-plenty Die-namics die then stamped with "Sand" Momento Ink using the heart stamp from the Inspired by Love stamp set. The small heart is cut out with the same Hearts a-Plenty die using a glittered piece of the DP. I cut out the wings using MFT's Felt and my Heart Wings Sizzix Alterations die. The bling, key and twine if from my stash. The sentiment is from the From the Bottom of my Heart - WTG stamp set.

I finished off the inside of the card using the balloons & sentiments from the From the Bottom of my Heart - WTG stamp set. Then I layered on top a heart from the Hearts a-Plenty die set & added bling from my stash. I just love how it all came together! :-)

Hope you likey and hope you play along with this week's sketch challenge! :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to check out Kim's blog to see sample projects from our amazing design team using sketch MFTWSC7!

12x12 Graphic 45 Communique Shadow Box

Hi everyone!

Here's a shadow box I created over the holidays that I had forgotten to share here on my blog. I was so happy how this came out in such a short amount of time. Last minute (literally made this on Christmas Eve!) I decided to put a Shadow box together for my younger brother and his wife. I used Graphic 45's Communique paper collection and stickers from the G45 Staples collection. These GORGEOUS papers make it so easy to create. So much inspiration is drawn from just the papers alone! I created this shadow box in just under an hour and a half! It's wonderful when a company like Graphic 45 creates products that inspire you when you create. Graphic 45 does that for me. :-) And aren't my brother and his wife the cutest couple ever?! LOVE them. :-)

Below are some detailed pictures of this 12x12 Shadow box. Thanks for stopping by to peep. I'll be back here later tonight for MFT's VIP Blog hop and shop, so be sure to check back! :-)

hugs!!

MFT à la Mode: "All Star"

Hey everyone!

Welcome to day 2 of teasers for the new MFT à la Modes! Today, the design team is featuring the new All Star à la mode! This stamp set will be available under the Brand Spankin' New section on the MFT website on February 15th!

I had a ton of fun creating this card. I thought of green when I went to my stash to pick out the papers... both my sons play soccer and their team colors are green/blue. I colored up the little à la mode girl using my Copic Markers and cut her out using the Layered Labels die. Do you spy a ton of MFT Die-namics die cut outs on this card? You bet! On the card front alone, I also used MFT's Banner Strip, Notebook Edge, Banner Day and Stacking Stars Die-namics! I love my Die-namics! :-) I layered on some Diamond Stickles to add some sparkle to the Star, Banner and banner flag and popped on a few Prima bling, well.... 'cuz I love bling. hehe! :-)

Inside the card, I used the Notebook Edge die, Stacking Stars die and the Star border. The sentiment is cut out using my Long Rectangle Nesties.

Click on over to Kim's blog to check out what the other MFT design team members came up with for today's featured à la mode! Their talent will be sure to inspire! :-)

MFT à la Mode time!

Hi everyone!

My Favorite Things will be releasing it's newest à la Mode stamp sets on February 15th and that's right around the corner! These little gals are so adorable! The 2 new à la Modes are called All Star and Wishing you Luck. Today the design team is featuring projects using the new Wishing you Luck à la Mode.

I created my card using the sketch for MFT's January 12th challenge. I used some cute designer paper I received in a RAK a few months ago. The greens on this paper attracted me since this card is St. Patty's day themed! :-) I colored up the little à la Mode gal with my Copic markers and cut her out using MFT's Polka Dot Greeting die, then layered that on top of a Layered Labels die that I dry embossed with my Quick Kutz large swiss dots embossing folder. I have a Dainty Lace Doily die "peeking" out from the side. I took a white hydrangea mulberry flower from iamroses.com and colored it up with the same Copic marker I used on the à la Mode image so it would match. I popped on some Prima bling & lace to warm up the card. :-)

Inside the card, I took some of the same DP and trimmed the green paper with MFT's Jumbo Scallop die. Then I layered on top the Small Open Scallop border. The sentiment is cut out with my Long rectangle Nesties and layered on top of a Layered Labels diecut.

Thanks for peeking today! Be sure to check out Kim's blog to see all the other AMAZING projects the MFT Design Team has in store for you today!
