MFT Teaser Day 2

Hi everyone! What an amazing Februrary release MFT's got and we're super excited to share with you all the yummy crafty goodness created with these new products! Are you ready for day 2 of teasers?? :-)

Before we jump in, here are the "deets" about the upcoming release on February 1st at 10 PM EST:

  • The MFT release is on February 1st at 10 PM EST. You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST here in the forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on February 1st at 10 PM EST.

  • The guest designer contest is ON! Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

  • If you'd like to see all the teasers for today, please click on over to Kim's blog NOW! Be sure to leave comments as you go for a chance to win one of 2 stamp sets being given away daily, just for leaving a comment. :) Check Kim's blog every day for the winners.

I created two cards to share with you today! I used the new Jolinne - Catch a Star stamp set for my first card. This stamp set is so adorable! I love how you can interchange the butterflies to stars, but for my card I decided to use the butterflies (of course! hehe!) I colored Jolinne up with my Copic markers and tried my hand at creating grass with my Prisma color pencils (thanks for the tips Jody!) I have a list of the products used at the bottom of this post.

For my second card, I used the new Flopsey - Smooth Sailing stamp set. Flopsey has got to be my most favorite character -- I just love him! He goes so perfectly with all my manly, boyish projects (and keep in mind, I have 3 sons, a husband, 2 brothers and a brother-in-law!! LOL) I colored up Flopsey with my Copic markers and paper pieced the sail boat using an old Stampin' Up designer paper collection I had in my stash. I love the clouds! I cut them out with the Cloud Trio die using MFT's My Favorite Felt. The waves were cut out using MFTs new Catch a Wave die coming out Feb 1st. Super fun! More information on products used is included at the end of this post.

MFT: Wednesday Stamp Club #4

Hey there everyone! It's time to get sketchy with MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club! This is my very first time participating in the WSC sketch challenge since I became an official design team member and I'm having a BLAST! Won't you join us?? :-)

Here's some 411 on the WSC Getting Sketchy challenge:

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along!

Upload your card or paper project to SplitcoastStampers with keyword MFTWSC4.

Now onto my project.... :-)

I created this card using MFT's Pure Innocence: Box of Love stamp set. How adorable is she you guys? I had so much fun coloring her up with my Copic markers, I created a vid HERE so I could share with you. :-) I paper pieced her using K&Co's Portabello paper collection, fussy cut her out and layered her atop a Dainty Lace Doily, cut out using MFT's Hot Fudge cardstock (which is also the base of my card.) I popped up a little heart that I cut out using the Hearts a-plenty Die-namics.

(close-up)

So what do you think of my stitching? You think I'm getting better at it? I'm such a virgin when it comes to using my sewing machine. LOL!! I'd like to think I'm getting somewhat better at it. hehe!!

Inside the card I used the the Polka Dot Greetings die and the Textile Rectangle die. And dontcha just {{ heart }} that sentiment?! A friend with chocolate is a friend indeed eh?! :-)

Anywhooo... be sure to check out Kim's blog to see more WSC goodness the design team has ready to share with you today!

Thanks for peeping by! :-)

MFT Rosettes!

Hey everyone! Just a quick post today...

I was playing around with my MFT Rosette Die-namics dies today and had a blast, I had to share what I made! There are different ways you can put the rosette together and even more ways you can alter and distress it to give it a unique look. Here are a few that I made. Can't wait to use them in some projects! :-) Check out the video HERE -- I also included a tutorial on how to create the double layer rosette. Thanks for stopping by to peep and enjoy the rest of your weekend! :-)

For today only, we are introducing a limited number of the new VIP kit featuring the Who's that Girl stamp set, My How You've Grown. After today, the VIP kit won't be available until the general release in February (that's if they aren't all sold out, 'cuz you are about to see how SUPER cute this kit is!) The VIP Collection is available for $36.90 and here are the deets on what's included in the kit:

Here's a card I created using featured items from the WTG January VIP kit. I used the "Itsy Bitsy Baby Boy" paper collection from K & Company and ladies... this is my FIRST time stitching with my sewing machine! I am so proud of myself... tee hee!! Not too shabby for a first-timer eh? LOL!

(front of card)

(inside card)

I paper pieced and Copic colored the super cute WTG stamped image from the VIP set. I just adore this image of the mommy holding her baby. It just sends goosebumps up my arm knowing how much my 3 little ones have blessed my life! :-) Do you spy the fun scallops I layered at the base of my card using the new Simply Scallops die-namics? This die is included in the VIP kit, what could be better?! :-) I also included some of the mini rolled roses, leaves from the Flower Trio and Leaf Trio die and a layered button from the Button Quartet die. What a great touch they added to the card!

This VIP collection is so perfect for all those baby projects, from cards to shower favors to lay-out and mini books! The possibilities are endless. And can I just tell you how awesome the new Simply Scallops Die-namics is? It is so versatile, you can use it in so many of your crafting projects!

Here's an 8x8 lay-out I created of my little man Logan using the sentiment from the WTG stamp set included in the VIP kit. See how versatile the stamps are across projects? :-) I absolutely LOVE the MFT rolled flower. (Side note: Be sure to check for that die and all the other fab Die-namics as the store has been recently restocked with all the yummy Die-namics goodness!)

And here's an Accordion Mini Album/Table top Album I created using not only the stamp sets and Simply Scallops die included in this month's VIP kit, but many other MFT stamp sets and Die-namics, too! It just goes to show how versatile MFT's stamps and dies can be!

Check out my YouTube video
HERE for a tutorial on how I created the base of the Accordion Album. Click HERE for the "in the making" vid, deets and more pics of this accordion mini album.

'Nough said! LOL! I'm sure you are ready to move on and check out the eye-candy INGE has prepared to share with you -- she's certain to amaze you!

"Oh Baby!" - New À la Mode from MFT

Hi everyone! Welcome one of the two new à la mode stamp sets being introduced by My Favorite Things this month! This little cutie is from the "Oh Baby" à la mode stamp set. I just adore this image & the huge cuddly teddy! This is perfect for those baby card projects for friends and family. :-)

If you're not familiar with MFT's à la mode collection, here's the low down:

- Each set is produced in the USA using the highest quality rubber, with the deepest etch possible.

- Each image and sentiment is backed on cling foam and scroll cut, making it ready for stamping right out of the bag!

- Packaged in a clear hang bag, we've also provided the ideal storage solution by including a thick laminated header card in each set that can be used to store the stamp set, in its entirety, after purchase.

Be sure to add the new à la modes to your "must have" list today! Both the "à la mode - Oh Baby" and "à la mode - Something's Fishy" will be available for purchase on the MFT website on Tuesday, January 18th! :-)

And lastly, don't forget to visit Kim's blog to check out the cutest ever projects the MFT design team has ready to share with you using the "Oh Baby" à la mode stamp set! The design team will be show-casing the new "à la mode - Something's Fishy" tomorrow (Jan. 18th) so be sure to check back! :-)
