A Shabby Chic Christmas Shadow Box and a card

Hi everyone!

I have a couple of projects to share with you today for I Am Roses.

First up is this shabby chic Christmas shadow box I created with a picture I took with my hubbie this past weekend at an early Christmas celebration with family. The shadow box was created using the Landscape Shadow box die by AccuCut and lots of fun I Am Roses products (links available at the bottom of this post.)

Here are some pics...

Next up is this "criss-cross" pocket Christmas card I created for by hubbie using another AccuCut die set. I used the red poinsettias and holly leaves... so, so pretty when you layer them up!

Thanks so much for stoping by to check out what I've been up to! Just a few more days and I'm officially on vacation for the holidays ---- yaaaaahoooooooooo! I can't wait! LOL!

More Custom Christmas Ornaments!

Hey everyone! WOW... doesn't it feel like the days for like 100MPH faster during the holidays?! It's like I blinked and all my Christmas projects are like DUE! LOL! Cards for family and friends... altrered picture frames and albums... will I ever get them all done in time? My fingers are crossed! :-)

Today I wanted to share more customer Christmas ornaments I created, but this time they are made using the plastic ornaments from Michael's and a bunch of KARLAS001.etsy.com goodies!

Here are some pics...

I used a rosette from the Jade flower trim and layered it onto a larger rosette from my stash. The center is a ribbon buckle I purchased on eBay with a 1/2 back pearl in the center. The ornament is stuffed with this super glittery netting I found in the Christmas section at Michaels. The "hanger" was made using the Medium White Flower Trim.  I added the Shabby Chic porcelain ribbon center flowers in Pink/White to the base of the ornament cap. I added 2 large Off-White Flowers and accented around them with the Capped Rhinestones, Wheat leaves in 3 Tone Pink, Mini Clear Crystal Flowers,  and a Small White Butterfly.

Here's a close-up...

Christmas Tree Mini Album Ornament

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a fun holiday project with you for Lindy Stamp Gang.

I started off with a Christmas tree album builder die set that I purchased from AccuCut, then layered some Recollections designer Christmas paper onto the chipboard pieces. I took some of my I Am Roses leaves and a Martha Stewart leaf punch and brought the branches of my tree to life.

At first, this was just going to be one of your every day-of-the-mill mini albums, but I had forgotten about these very cool hooks that I found at Target earlier in the season and decided to turn my mini album into an ornament for my tree! Perfect to hang those Christmas memories!

I incorporated some fun Filagrees and Charms from Lindy Stamp Gang into this project as well as Starburst Sprays, Two-tone Embossing powders and Glitz Spritz. All the products will be listed and linked below.

This is what the ornament looks like on my tree...

Here's a close up... The little chipboard angel is from K&Co and the gold accents behind her wings, as well as the large gold star, are charms from Lindy Stamp Gang...

Here is the first page... the leaf Filagree is embossed using Two-toned embossing powder by Lindy Stamp Gang. The dove is one of the charms from the LSG store and the flowers are by I Am Roses...

These I Am Roses curly roses are sprayed up with Starburst Spray in Rudolph's Red Nose. I replaced the sprays in the center of the flowers with gold buttons from my stash...

This reindeer is heat embossed with Two-toned embossing powder then distressed with Ranger Distress Ink in Walnut Stain. The large I Am Roses poinsettia is shimmered up with Glitz Spritz in Scintillating Silver (my all time FAV!)

This snowflake frame is from AccuCut... I layered some I Am Roses cherry blossoms sprayed up with Glitz Spritz in Scintillating Silver, I tied a sheer gold bow at the bottom and added more Lindy Stamp Gang charms to accent... The white I Am Roses flower to the left is shimmered up in Glitz Spritz again in Scintillating Silver and the red roses are sprayed up with Desert Moon Cactus Gold...

Here's a close up...

A final pic...

I'll have a video up later today showing my final project. Click HERE to visit and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Thank you for letting me share my project with you today and I hope I helped inspire you to create a mini album ornament to hang up on your tree this year!

Happy holidays to all and have a wonderful week ahead!

hugs!

Christmas cards - Stampin with JC

Hi everyone! I have a few Christmas cards I want to share with you today.

I created these cards using some super cute stamped images from Stampin with JC. Jeanine and I met on YouTube and have chatted back and forth on several occasions about scrappin' and stampin' and she even purchased a few items from my blog before. She's very, very sweet and I was excited to hear that she was able to launch a new line of stamps! These are the most adorable images! She asked me if I could create a few projects using her new stamps, and I was thrilled to!

Here are a few of the Christmas cards I created using some of the stamps she sent me...

This is Cupcake Ally...

Custom Christmas Ornaments

Hi there everyone! Hope you're having a great weekend so far!

I'm here today with a holiday project for I Am Roses!

I was in the holiday spirit and as I was digging through my Christmas stash, I found these glass ornament balls I purchased at Michael's last year. I decided to create some Christmas ornaments for my tree and here is what I came up with...

Click HERE to view my video tutorial for these custom Christmas ornaments.

I had so much fun making these ornaments while listening to some Christmas tunes... it really got me into the spirit of Christmas and I found my crafting mojo again! LOL! It really got me back into creating after such a LONG hiatus (due to my recent vacation out of country.)

Thank you for stopping by to check out my latest project today!

Wishing you and yours a very safe and warm holiday season!

hugs!

Boooo! LOL! I'm back... A little about where I've been...

Hi there everyone! I just wanted to check in before people started to think I fell off the face of the earth... LOL!! I know I've been MIA for several weeks.... but with good reason. ☺

I was recently presented with an opportunity to visit the Philippines, my parents and grandparents homeland. Although I'm Filipina through and through, I was born and raised in Northern California and had only traveled to the Philippines once before when I was 17 years old (yup, that was almost a gazillion years ago! LOL) So when my Mom said "grab your passport, we're going!" I didn't think twice! My grandmother (Lola Mering, my Mom's mother) has been falling ill off and on the past several months (she is 96 years old going on 30!) She is such as strong woman, I want to be her when I grow up!! What a wonderful opportunity this was to spend time with the woman who came to California when I was a small child to help raise me! I kept telling myself this might be the last chance I get to see her and spend time with her... make EVERY second count!

I wanted to share a few pictures from my trip with you. My 10 year old son Jarrod came on the trip, as well as my older brother, Mom and Dad (my hubbs stayed home with my 2 youngest boys.) I'll include some text with each of the photos below for detail...

This is the Bay Bridge at sunset on the way to San Francisco International airport... gorgeous right?! :-)

Here's a pic of me and my "men" at SFO... OMG, how I missed the ones I left behind! 2 weeks was too long to be apart!! :-(

This is me, my Lola Mering and my Mom... 3 generations!!

This is my Mom and Lola at lunch, cliff side, at Gerry's Grill in Tagaytay, Philippines

This is the cliff-side view at Gerry's Grill (me with my son Jarrod.)

Awe, Lola Mering and I... she kept saying "look at how old I look and how beautiful you are in comparison." I kept telling her how beautiful she is INSIDE and OUT! Love you Lola!!

My son Jarrod and I on a carrabou ride at Villa Escudero Resort.

Starbucks is located on every corner (sometimes right across the street from each other!) in Manila. It was nice to have some "home away from home" stuff... oh, and don't let the prices fool ya (it's in Philippine pisos)... the cost is comparable to what we pay for Starbucks in the US. LOL!

Lightweight champion of the world babeeeee! Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines!

Here's Manny's store at the Mall of Asia in Pasay, Manila.

Here's me at Villa Escudero... at the end of the falls are picnic tables where you can eat with your feet in the water! Here's a better pic (me with Jarrod)...

Here's a glimpse of the native Filipino foods we ate... grilled BBQ chicken, pancit bihon, beef mechado, grilled fish and for dessert a fried banana on a stick with brown sugar. Yummo!

Now the following are some pics of a mini "tourist"vacay my Dad's sister took me, my brother and Jarrod on... I think the views say it all.... PARADISE! Taken in Bohol & Cebu...

This is where we stayed for the first 2 nights. My aunt and I visited the spa and did the massage thing... OMG, how relaxing and FUN!

This is the view from our Bungalow... WOW!!!

This is called the "Infiniti pool"... can you guess why? :-)

Called "Chocolate Hills"because they look like Hershey's chocolate kisses!

We climbed over 200+ steps to vista point at Chocolate Hills for this view. Can you believe these hills were created as a result of a Geological occurrence?! Amazing!!

My brother and my son zip lined across this ravine in Danao, from one mountain to another... I nearly fainted when I looked how far down the mountain went!!!! But what a view!

Butterflies eating mangoes at the Butterfly Conservatory in Bohol.

Me with butterfly wings!! hehe!

Known as the world's smallest primate -- the Philippine Tarsier of Bohol.
These little guys can fit in the palm of your hand!

Jarrod at the Inifini pool at Panglao Island Resort.

Aaaaah, paradise!

White sand beaches for days and water so clear you can see the fish and coral below.

Yes Jo and Ri ("paperdrama" and "scrapstress")... I go "curly" in humid weather. LOL!

Plantation Bay... our last stay and stop in Cebu. Paradise... its one of the top 20 places to stay in Asia.

Lola Mering, my son Jarrod, me and my older brother... Lola did not want us to leave... she started crying... :-(

To end on a funny note.... here is Jarrod and our friendly Philippine Airlines Stewardess!
Mabuhay (Long life!) LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my memorable adventure with you all. I'm back to work and OMG, so wishing I could be scrappin' right now (if you ONLY KNEW!!) LOL!

Miss you all... and hope you had an AMAZING Thanksgiving holiday~

Have an awesome weekend!!
