November I Am Roses Projects, a friend and our birthday outing!

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by to peek at my latest projects for I Am Roses.

I am fortunate to have my dear friend Bona, who I've known since the 2nd grade. We happen to share the love and passion for paper crafting AND our birthdays are only 6 days apart -- I'm on October 29th and she's on November 4th. We make it a point every year to do a girls night out to dinner to catch up and exchange gifts. The gifts I created for Bona were created as my I Am Roses projects for November.

First off here is a Shabby Chic card I created for Bona using The Melissa Frances 5th Avenue papers and the FleaMarket paper embellishments by ColorBok (I'll have a full product list included at the bottom of this post):

Next up is this gift card box, which I created using FleaMarket design paper and the Sizzix Envelope Box Bigs XL die.

Last up is this altered trunk... I had so much fun creating this. The box is from Treasurenest.Com and the papers again from the Shabby Chic Flea Market collection. I knew this collection would be perfect for Bona because she's used it in the past AND it's totally Shabby Chic (which she loves):

Click HERE for a video detailing how I created these projects!

Now for some fun photos! Bona and I met at the Elephant Bar for dinner and we literally shut the place down at 1am! LOL! Those of you have not been to the Elephant Bar, the food is Asian inspired and the atmosphere very relaxed with the place centralized around the middle bar that's opened late! hehe!

Here is Bona with the gifts I created for her:

Here's me with the beautiful birthday balloon Bona made for me using one of her AccuCut dies:

Sorry for the bad quality of the photos... the restaurant was dark and all we had were our cell phones. LOL!

Anyhow, hope you enjoyed my share for today. Have yourself a GREAT week ahead!

hugs!

Here is a preview of one of the I Am Roses blog candy that is up for grabs:

Picture using some of your favorite color sprays on these babies.... wow!!! ❤
For today's hop, each designer was challenged with creating a Fall tag. The base of my tag was created using one of my AccuCut Envelope and Tag die-sets. The paper collection is by Authentique (LOVE this paper!) The butterfly (wings) was cut out using a Spellbinders Shapeabilities die set, the sentiment is from My Favorite Things, Inspired by Autumn, the pennants were cut using My Favorite Things Mini Pennants Die-namics and the letters were stamped using the MFT Typewriter Alphabet set...

I just LOVE making this Puffy Daisy layered flower. This time I used 2 of my Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst sprays -- Dark Chocolate Truffle and Red Hot Poker Orange. I LOVE this combo of Fall inspired colors. I have a tutorial on how to create this layered Puffy Daisy HERE. In the center of the Puffy Daisy, I added a metal button from my stash that I colored up with my Rub n' Buff in Antique Gold. To the left of the Puffy Daisy, are 3 small semi-open roses that were white, but I painted them with my Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Stains. The crystal sprays and wheat leaves are from KARLAS001's Etsy. Back behind the flowers are some brown rose leaves and tan cherry blossoms (all I Am Roses products will be linked at the end of this post.)

Here's a peek at the banner, anchored by more Cherry Blossoms. The seam binding was stained using more Dark Chocolate Truffle and Red Hot Poker Orange Starburst Sprays by Lindy Stamp Gang.

I love this sentiment from MFT... I added a few fall leaves from I Am Roses under the stamped sentiment...

Thanks for letting me share my project with you today!

Next up on the blog hop is our sweet and talented Amy! I’m sure she has something AMAZING to share with you!
