MFT Teaser Day 5!

Hey everyone and welcome to day 5 of MFT teasers! Tomorrow is the big release so be ready... it's going to be huge! :-)

Today we are featuring 2 new stamp sets: Who's That Musical Girl and Clearly Sentimental About Music. I will be featuring March's Triple Scoop Set: Clearly Sentimental About Music.

I created this card using My Mind's Eye Meadow Lark paper collection. I went for a black and white "opera" type theme with this card. I stitched the Black Licorice cardstock and layered a set of die cuts from my Grand Nestabilities die set. I used Ranger Black Soot distress ink to distress the die cuts before popping them out of the Nesties. I then layered on top the new Dizzy Doily, cut out with Black Licorice cardstock. I weaved some shear satin-lined ribbon through the Dizzy Doily, tied a bow and finished it off with one of my handmade stick pins. The sentiment, from the Clearly Sentimental About Music set, is stamped on one of the dies from the new Sweet Stack Die-namics set. This stamp set is awesome and comes with many sayings about love and music and also the love of music. :-) I created some Rolled Roses using MFT's luxurious black felt and layered them on top of some iamroses leaves. Do you spy music notes? You bet! These are cut out using MFT's new Music Note Die-namics set. To top off the card, I added some black pearl bling from Want2Scrap.

Inside the card, I trimmed the Black Licorice base with the new Dizzy Border. I die cut a heart from the Hearts a-plenty Die-namics set and stamped it with the music note stamp from the Inspired by Music stamp set. I popped on a cleft note die cut from the Music Note Die-namics set and added some white pearl bling. I love how this card came out... sorta black and white classy opera-ish. LOL!

TGF "Sasha" from the new Creeper Crew set

Hi everyone! Don't go far because we have our last day of MFT Teasers tonight and the Design Team will have some amazing projects to share with you all!

But before I share my next MFT project with you... I have more TGF Creeper Crew fun to share! :-)

Let me introduce "Sasha" from the new Creeper Crew stamp set by The Greeting Farm. Is she not adorable in a freakish way?! I love these Creeper Crew stamps! So I decided to break into my stash of things I LOVE to hoard... and of course I grabbed a $1 bin frame from Michaels (this one frame doesn't even "dent" my stash.... sigh... the hoarding I'm tellin' ya! LOL!) I also grabbed a cherry blossom spray from my Prima stash (again, no dent but hey.... I'm trying! LMAO!) I altered this black frame using Rub n' Buff in Antique Gold to give it a bit of a vintage look. I cut out some images from Graphic 45's Once Upon A Springtime papers to match Sasha's dress, which is paper pieced using the same collection. The "extra" cherry blossoms are from iamroses.com and I glimmered them up with my Creme Brulee Cream Starburst Sprays by Lindy Stamp Gang.

For Sasha, I colored her up with my Copic markers. My dark brown hair combo is E49, E47, E34 and E31. Her skin combo is E11, E21, E00 and E000 (+ R20 for blush.) LOVE her... so fun to color up! :-)

Click HERE to watch my video of this project.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll be seeing you back here in a click of a mouse! :-)

hugsies!

MFT Teasers day 4!

Hey everyone... me again for another day of MFT teasers! This is Day 4 of 5. Whoot whooot! Is your wish list getting kinda long? I know mine is!!! :-)

Today we are featuring 2 new stamp sets -- Bee Yourself and Inspired by Flowers. Today, I'm sharing projects using both stamp collections.

Before we continue, here's info on the upcoming release:
  • The MFT release is at 10 PM EST on March 1st . The release party is from 8-10 PM EST in the SCS forum. Join us for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on March 1st at 10 PM EST.
  • Want to be the next MFT guest designer? Check out the forum for details on how YOU can win over $100 in stamp sets and play along with the DT for a month.

Now onto my projects...

I created my 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 Bee Yourself card using K&Co's new Tim Coffey collection called Cottage Garden. I colored up the little baby bee using my Copic markers, cut it out using my Nesties. I distressed the inside of the image with Ranger Vintage Photo distress ink before removing the nestie die -- LOVE this technique! Then I layered it on top of another Nestie using Hot Fudge cardstock. I used the Scalloped Scallop and Open Scallop border Die-namics to line the left edge of the card along with some brown Prima lace. Lots of layering going on -- I LOVE me some layers! LOL! The accents on the card (flowers, sunflower, bee die-cuts) are from the Cottage Garden collection.

Inside the card, do you spy MFT's Simply Scallops, Flower Border and Rounded Banner Trio Die-namics? You betcha!! Super fun! :-)

(inside)

For my next project, I decided to make a simple card that I could use for one of my Aunties, who I greatly miss (she lives 3000 miles away in the Philippines!) On the front of the card, I used one of the flowers from the Inspired by Flowers stamp set, along with the sentiment. I cut out a Dainty Lace doily with the BG Curio papers, which is the DP I used throughout the card. I lined the bottom of the card with some pretty brown Prima lace as a final touch. I kept the inside of the card super simple. I just trimmed one side with DP using the Jumbo Scallops die. Before I adhered it down, I stamped one of the flower images from the stamp set so it's "peeking" from behind the panel. I decided to keep it black and white so it's muted -- which will make a written message inside the card stand out.

Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to check back tomorrow for our last day of teasers! Keep that shopping list handy... it's about to get longer! LOL!

A birthday card...

I had to create a birthday card for our friends' son, who turned 4 this weekend. I thought MFT's Flopsey was PERFECT for a little boy's card. I just love him and always have a great time coloring him up with my Copic Markers.

I decided to paper piece the cake and add Dazzling Diamonds to the cake frosting. I stamped the candles directly onto the card, colored them up with my At You Spica glitter pens and positioned my cut-out Flopsey so the candles lined up with the cake. :-) I used the Simply Scallops Die-namics die to border the bottom of the card. So fun!! It's such a BLAST making these easel cards --- THANKS Splitcoast stampers for the awesome tutorial on YouTube!

Be sure to check back later tonight... I have 2 more MFT projects to share with you for Teaser day #4!

hugs!

MFT Teasers Day 3!

Welcome to another fabulous day of MFT teasers! Today, we are showcasing MFT's newest Pure Innocence stamp sets -- and if you follow my blog, you'll see her featured in some of my most recent posts and tutorials -- LOVE the PI girl! But the PI boy is just as cutie-patootie! :-)

The new PI sets include Daffodil, Warm Fuzzies, One Sweet Chick, Girl Scout and Boy Scout. Tonight, I'm feauring PI: Daffodil and PI: Warm Fuzzies.

First up, PI: Daffodil.

I used the Prima Annalee papers from my stash and colored up the little PI Daffodil girl using my Copic markers. I created some grass using my Prismacolor pencils and cut her out using my Grand Nesties. I used the Simply Scallops Die-namics to layer DP and kraft paper on both the top and bottom of my card (little do we know I had a stitching boo-boo on the base of my card ---- shhhhhh!) LOL! So the scallops did their job of covering up my mistake! LOL! Do you spy MFT's new Upsy Daisy Flower Builder die set? Yup, you sure do! I centered my flower with a Recollections bling and popped on some twine and a Foofala Button.

VIDEO TUTORIAL: Click HERE to watch a video tutorial on how I created the grass on this card using Prismacolor Pencils.

It's Die-namics city inside my card! LOL!! Here, I have featured the new Sweet Stack and Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-namics. I also used Simply Scallops and the large label from the Layered Labels die set. Lotsa layering goin' on! LOL! :-)

Here's my 2nd card usng PI: Warm Fuzzies...

The paper collection I went with is by DCWV, called Flower Shower Spring Stack from 2010. I paper pieced the cute little fuzzy PI girl and did a sort of "patch works" layering with the DP on the card. I used the Fresh Cut Grass and Sunshine Die-namics to give my little fuzzy girl a landscape. :-) I created the bow with some hand crinkled seam binding and centered it with a Foofala button & twine.

Inside the card I used more of the DP and layered up my MFT Die-namics -- Small Open Scallop border, Scalloped Scallop and Jumbo Scallop. The dimensonal flower is from the DCWV paper collection and the cute little sentiment if from the PI: Warm Fuzzies stamp set.

And there ya go! :-) But before you go, here are the "deets" again on the March release:

  • The release is at 10 PM EST on March 1st . The release party is from 8-10 PM EST in the SCS forum. Join us for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on March 1st at 10 PM EST.

MFT Teaser Day 1!

Hey everyone and welcome to MFT Teaser day 1 of 5! Today the MFT design team will be showcasing 3 new stamp sets: Fred Bear - Oopsie Daisy, Flapper Doodles - My Favorite Hello and Sassy & Sweet. Today, I'll be sharing Sassy & Sweet.
But first, some details about the MFT release:
  • The release is at 10 PM EST on March 1st . You can attend the release party from 8-10 PM EST in the SCS forum for fun, games, and prizes! All the new sets and dies will be available on March 1st at 10 PM EST.

Now onto my project...
I used the BoBunny Olivia paper collection - so fun and girlie, I LOVE it! The Sassy & Sweet stamp set comes with a ton of fun sentiments! I had a blast with all the new MFT Die-Namics dies, too -- they are literally to "die" for -- "fun" intended! :-) I cut out BoBunny DP using the Sweet Stack layers for the sentiment, then layered that on top of the new Dizzy Doily. I trimmed the panel on the card with more DP, layered that on top of some Black Licorice cardstock, trimmed it up with the Small Scallop border and popped on the GORGEOUS new Dizzy Border in Black Licorice cardstock. The fun daisies were cut out using the new Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-namics die set. The stamped flourishes on the background are from the Sweet & Sassy stamp set and I popped on some black Prima bling to "balance out" the card. :-)
Inside the card, I cut out some of the DP using the Scalloped Scallop die and added more daisies from the Upsy Daisy Flower Builder Die-namics set (LOVE this die set, it comes with 9 dies -- 3 different sizes of daisies, 3 sizes of daisy centers [that emboss!] and 3 leaves.) A ton for your money -- I LOVE that!! I stamped a sentiment from the Sassy & Sweet set onto a label die that comes in the Sweet Stack Die-namics set.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share my creation with you! Don't forget to stop byKim's blog to see other projects created by the fab MFT design team!

I'll be back in a couple of days to share more MFT teaser projects with you, so don't go far! :-)

hugs!
