Graphic 45 Times Nouveau Altered Storage Box

I bought these Clip-it Up storage file folders to store a bunch of my little journaling cards and small paper embellies. The file folders came in this box and I thought an opportunity to alter the box presented itself! My first thought was "Graphic 45's Times Nouveau paper collection!!!" I have been hoarding (I mean "keeping" hehe) a good amount of this paper in my G45 stash and I thought it was just about that time to use some! Are you guys like me and have a super HARD time using the Graphic 45 papers because they are too darn pretty to cut-up?! Argh, and to add to the pain... I hate cutting into the double-sided paper because it means cutting up whatever design is on the back.... oh the pain, the pain!!!! :-( But that just means I always have to have AT LEAST 2 of every paper. hehe!! Can you tell I'm a HUGE G45 fan?! :-)

Be sure to check out the video showing how I created this box HERE.

Thanks for stopping by to visit me! :-)

Paper Piecing, inspired by Rina!

For this card, I used the Basic Grey Nook & Pantry paper collection, Sizzix circle and scallop dies, Copic markers, At You Spica Glitter Pens, Stickles in "Pink", lace from A Treasure Nest, sentiment by CC Designs and the stamp is from The Greeting Farm. I used a Tim Holtz jump ring for the umbrella handle and the roses, of course (hehe!) are from www.iamroses.com.

Thanks for stopping by today! :-)

New Facebook Account & Sneak Peek at some Upcoming Projects

Hi Everyone! I finally took the plunge and created a "scrappy" Facebook account last week. Yay!! :-) I find it's easier and quicker to share pictures and daily "scrap haps" on Facebook and it's a great way to collaborate. I know, big word "COLLABORATE" hehe... this is HUGE in the work that I do (my day job, hehe!) so I'm taking it a step further into my "scrappy" life. I thought it would be so awesome to connect & keep in touch with all of you on Facebook, so be sure to add me as a friend if I haven't already sent you a friend request! I'm in there every day. Facebook is beyond addicting especially when you can take it where ever you go on your iPhone! LOL!!!

Anywho... onto the scrappy update... :-) I have a few projects in the works that I am SO SUPER excited to share with you guys! Here are some sneak peeks of my "almost-completed" Halloween mini.... AND, some of the FUN stuff I purchased recently that I can't WAIT to alter with some yummy Graphic 45 paper!!!! :-)

Thanks for popping by today and have an awesome weekend!

Here's a glimpse at my current Halloween mini album project. I just have 3 more pages to go and the finishing touches! I created lots of room for full size pictures in this mini album and I can't wait to fill it with all the FUN pictures of my kiddos this Halloween!

I purchased these 7 Gypsies holder and trays to alter. I CAN'T wait to bust out with my Graphic 45 papers and get crackin' on these! Fun, oh fun!! :-)

Lindy Stamp Gang Design Team

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to announce that I accepted an offer to be on the Lindy Stamp Gang Design Team. I'm so excited as I have been using their products for months and I absolutely love the glimmer and the extra "kick" the products add to my projects.

For my first design team project, I decided to do a tutorial on my vintage mulberry flowers. I also show you how to color the skeleton leaves from iamroses.com using Lindy's Starburst Stains. I love the glimmer they give the leaves, it's AMAZING!!! If you haven't tried their products, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed. :-)

If you have any questions at all, feel free to leave a comment.

Here's a LINK to the YouTube video tutorial. Don't forget to subscribe to both my YouTube channel and the LSG channel for more tutorials and project ideas. My YouTube channel is HERE. The Lindy Stamp Gang channel is HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT week everyone! :-)

Another Graphic 45 Steampunk Debutante Altered Box & Mini Album

Hi everyone!

Last week I did a lace and box haul video on my YouTube channel from my order at www.atreasurenest.com. One of the viewer comments was "what do you do with the lace?" I can't remember if she asked what I would do with the box.. but to me, that was a challenge waiting to happen! LOL! So I gathered all my supplies and got started on a new project. The goal.... incorporate some of the lace I purchased AND alter one of the boxes. :-)

In this project, I used Graphic 45's newest paper collection - Steampunk Debutante. I just ABSOLUTELY love this paper collection. I love it so much, I have (3) 12x12 pads and (2) 8x8 pads... and I still can't get enough! LOL!!! The 7 Gypsies industrial gears go PERFECTLY as embellishments with this paper collection. I especially LOVE the blinged-out gears. hehe! All of the flowers used in this project are from www.iamroses.com (If you place an order, tell Bunma I said HI!)

Here are some pictures of the final box and mini album. Be sure to check out the YouTube video to see how I created these.

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome weekend!! :-)

Graphic 45 Hallowe'en in Wonderland "super dimensional" tag

Hi everyone! Here is the Graphic 45 tag I shared on my latest Sunday Scrapbooking Share video on YouTube. I had so much fun creating this. The paper collection by G45 ROCKS and is by far my most favorite Halloween paper to work with!!

The base of the tag is medium weight chipboard. I layered it with acrylic paints, Golden glass bead gel, soft matte gel and cheese cloth. The charm is by Industrial Chic (Michael's) and the flowers are from iamroses.com.

Hope you likey! Thanks for stopping by. hugs, Arlene :-)

I {heart} Bebe card drive

Hi everyone. Here are the cards I made for Dayle's "I {heart} Bebe" card drive. I kept it pretty simple but made sure there was a pocket inside for the lock of hair that the Veterinarian's office could provide in the card. I left the cover blank so a picture of the dog/cat could be adhered on it. If you haven't checked out Dayle's blog, visit her at http://creativelychloe.blogspot.com/ for more information about this cause. She is hosting such an amazing card drive, I was happy to be able to participate and contribute.

Have a great day! hugs, Arlene

I made a total of 10 cards...

I used my Accucut business card pocket die to cut out the little pockets. Then I punched the heart out using my SU Large heart punch. I saved the heart and adhered it to the corner of the interior of the card.

I used acetate to cover the heart on the pocket so the lock of hair would be protected inside.
